intuitdriver
I don't really know if this is the best place to ask this question: I have a buddy who is getting a Z garage off the ground and I am helping him get setup. The question is what is the cheapest and preferable easiest software to make accurate repair order estimates? At my shop we use a zillion dollar delphi system to pull up the listed labor hours. My buddy charges $60hr for labor and gets his parts delivered with his commercial delivery contract via carquest, oreileys, and advance so I quess parts cost would come from there? Im not sure how most shops do the pricing anyway as i am just a technician and not a service manager or director.

BillZ260
He could benchmark some of the other shops around, and google some stuff. I'd say depending on how big he's going to be, maybe start with excell or access.
