rossman
I have an old (1998) Deltagate II wastegate that I am considering for use on my Holset turbo L28. I will be using a stock turbo manifold and the turbo is a HE351 off a 2006 Dodge Cummins. I believe the Deltagate port is 1.25" (32mm). I want to run low boost (5-8 psi) until I get MSII tuned correctly. Is this wastegate too small to bother with?
Bernardd
I've got the deltagate welded to the stock manifold and with a 7psi spring it creeps up to 10 or so high rpm.
Pyro
My Deltagate seems to work well. I'm running a T04b-h3 compressor with a stage 3 T3 turbine with a MSA stage 1 turbo cam. 2-1/2 inch exhaust
Clifton
I ran a Delat gate but never below 12 psi. I had no problems. The less boost, the larger the wastegate you will need though. If it creeps, just turn the boost up a little.
