This head clearly reads n42 but has round exhust ports and the port walls are square .Has any one ever come across one of these heads? what is it from ? This head will need a lot of work (welding) if your ever going to consider using it...check the water ports! Never seen a round exhaust port N42. I'm a little suspicious that someone has reworked them for some reason and attempted to make them round but it's hard to really tell. His: By the way, there's no way these came from the factory like this. The only time the L series exhaust ports were round were for the liners, and neither of these have liners. steveosupremeo Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 not to mention those beautiful tiny little cracks between the valve seats like both of my N42s have. i'm sure its an easy fix once the seats are out. but i can see it on cyl. 5 and 6 in the pic. Here are some more pics as clear as I can get with my point and shoot . In the last pic you can see a hanger that has been welded on .
