TrumpetRhapsody
Those look great... and are just what I want out of HIDs... no bulbous housing that requires headlight covers. Great job! That link you posted didn't show up though.
BurnoutZ
Do you need projectors? Or can you just run the bulb/ballast/wiring setup in say and autloc headlight with an intergeated turn signal?
loy
Projectors are recommended. You can, but it is not recommended due to producing alot of unwanted glare.
jtl260z
Projectors are recommended. You can, but it is not recommended due to producing alot of unwanted glare. technically, without projectors, you can run into some legal issues (DOT). I did my conversion about 5 years ago using a tri-bar headlight with a center "bulb cover" simular to the pic.
islanddozer
why don't you throw a turn signal relay on your power lead to your signals. just get a cheap gennaric one. cheers
Overkill Z
i went with the black backed headlight housing..it cut down on glair big time and looks pretty sick..but still a cheap housing

texis30O
I just scored some headlights from a LX430 for FREE. I am going to purchase these 7"ers from ebay and do a conversion on the projector lens. I will let you know how they turn out. ( It might be a while) ( I have to stop buying parts my wife is going to KILL ME)
v8dan
btw your car looks amazing good job on one of the cleaner cars i've seen on here. In my opinion im not crazy about the hood scoop but it really flows well with the car. The front end reminds me of a S2000.
streeteg
thank you for the comments guys. Once winter hits the lights are coming out for a good old fashioned retrofit which I am very excited about. I will keep you posted -Eric
Rustyfriend
i dont mean to hijack, but what do you guys think about mounting these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7-COLOR-PROJECTOR-FOG-LIGHTS-LAMPS-W-HALO-UNIVERSAL_W0QQitemZ380062600798QQihZ025QQcategoryZ33709QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
TrumpetRhapsody
I bought some "projector" headlights from that company. Pretty low quality stuff, customer support is sketchy.
zedevan
Projectors are recommended. You can, but it is not recommended due to producing alot of unwanted glare is it just me or does there look to be alot of glare with these projectors anyway, as there is nothing stoping light from reflecting off the rest of the housing, although you could always make up a bezel out of a sanded down aluminum can to stop this...but i doubt the lenses are that great. i was orginally thinking of doing this, but decided it probably wasn't worth the effort compared to an actual retro
