JSM
I recently sold the 77 I had due to to much rust. I was going to fix it for my son but I don't think I could have finished it in 2 years. I picked another one up yesterday thinking I was going to just flip it or sell mine and turbo the 78. My son (14) went with me to pick it up. It runs, drives, is an Automatic and the AC works. We were test driving it and my son says, "Does this guy have any idea there is nothing wrong w/ this car?". I just laughed. I was posting the car for sale on craigslist locally when he walks in tonight. He was like don't sell that one, I really want it. The nice thing is it has 75% less rust than the other 77 I got rid of. Not to bad for $400.00 What do you call the 3rd Pic? Is that the splash guard that most take off and throw away? Any value for them for the 280z?
JSM
As much as I hate them, I'm assuming I should leave the hideous bumpers on for a 16 year old yes?
fhptom
Nice addition Jeff. A little better than the one I got rid of. I would say keep the undertray/splash guard. People are always looking for them. Tom
jeffer949
Yes keep the bumpers. That way if he pulls a little to far forward into a parking spot that has a poll or wall infront of it it will just hit the bumper and not the hood. And nice score. Swap it to a Manual and let your son have fun restoring it with you
jeffer949
What color is that? is it close to mine?
JSM
Kinda, but not as nice. He likes the automatic though.
FlatBlack
Looks great for $400! What is on the door and hatch area? Is that primer paint? I really like the color...

Filmjay
Very nice! Wish I could come across a find like that!!!
JSM
Craigslist, search everyday. There is too much primer in places. It needs a whole paint job. Parts of the car paint are very nice. I'm likely to sell the under tray. Help offset the fix up cost, but your welcome to come by and make a template.

jeffer949
He likes the auto??? does he want girls to think he is gay?? lol jk jk. Teach him to drive stick and make him drive one. It makes you pay more attention to what your doing and leaves less time for talking on the cell or texting on the cell and whatnot.
g9m3c
Nice find! I would try to keep the splash gaurd and remount it on the car. Especially if you're going to be working on it. I've only owned my car for less than a week, and it's already payed off for catching bolts and nuts that I drop.
