MastersMechanic
I had a set of 295 50 15 tires and thought they would look good on my 280Z. I ordered two, 15x10" diamond racing wheels with 4.75 back spacing. Now I need to get vg flares and two more wheels, what do you think? I need to trim a little on the front for hard turns, but not alot. I am thinking of selling the 12.5:1 race motor and tranny to finance finishing the car with the one that is in it so I can drive it. Decisions, decisions.
SmogSUX
How do you find street tires that wide for a 15?? I remember I had the hardest time finding anything larger than a 255 even for my 16. How much did those wheels run you? KEEP THE BEEFY MOTORRRR lol
Kennysgreen280zt
I have a pair of 345/35/15s lol, came on a set of wheels I bought. They are too big for the wheels at 10" wide.
MastersMechanic
I paid under $100 each for the wheels with shipping. The tires were also under $100 each, brand new (BFG's).
260DET
The Diamond wheels look tough in a stockcar sort of way, those red centered ones Simmons? There is heaps of info around here on modding the body work to fit flares, should look great when its done.
SmogSUX
If you don't mind me asking where did you get those wheels from? I'm interested in picking some up
MoNkEyT88
The Diamond wheels are the one's I'm getting when ever I get that far. They're made in Wisconsin. You can check them out at http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/
MastersMechanic
I found that when I called them they new what I wanted before I did. I think alot of people buy special wheels from them in the import market. The Guy I talked to asked; what suspension do I have, if I plan on running Flares, and tire size. He also made sure that I knew that you cannot balance these wheels on a standard hub mounted balancer, that you have to use a stud style balancer? Never balanced mine yet, haven't found anyone to do it. I am not planing on having it running any time soon. Unfortunatly
