JDM RHD FAIRLADY Z's

Recommended Posts

There are several of us on this site who own JDM Z's. I have not seen many S30's anywhere for sale right now. There is one @ http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/8/1987012 .There is a S130 on e-Bay, they have been trying to sell for a while. The price has fluctuated a couple of grand in the last 3 months.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-280ZX-1979-Nissan-Datsun-280zx-RHD-JDM-Fairlady-240z-rare_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ002QQitemZ120350901959QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

There is a "Riced out" Z31 on CL in Vegas http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/965754153.html

Good luck

Nice...Love the Devil Z. I'd like to see that when it's done.

lol I'm in love with it, I want to paint it matte black though. (Maybe)

"He soon finds that the car is unnaturally fast due to a tuned L28 engine, bored and stroked to 3.1L and fitted with twin turbos, that produces unmeasurable amounts of horsepower (620hp)"

^^ that will be hard to achieve. lol but it would be soooooooooooooooooooo awesome.

I want a RHD 240-280z because I want to build a replica of the devil Z from wangan midnight. I love that car. :o

Devil Z was not a 240.

I have several:

S30 S46 (1971) Fairlady Z (S)

GS31 S51 (1976) Fairlady Z 2/2 (S)

GS31 S52 (1977) Fairlady Z 2/2 (L)

HGS130 S53 (1978) Fairlady 280Z (S)

Then, there are the North American Market ones I own as well...

My company is based in Export PA...maybe I'll drive one of the Fairlady's back East so you can drool over it...LOL

I drove through there coming back from the San Antonio ZCON a few years back with the Grey 2/2 Fairlady towing my spares trailer on the way to visit relatives in Michigan.

  • 3 weeks later...

One of the primary reason they are 'wicked rare' is that total JDM production of the S30 and S31 Series Vehicles from 1969 to 1977 was only about 78,000 units.

This is about equivalent to the Export production number of units sent to the North American Market in 1974.

A Fairlady Z is about as rare as a 1974 North American 260Z as a general marque.

TO nail down a particular year, there is nothing except for 'specials' they did like the ZAP Z and the Black Pearl that rivals any individual year of Fairlady Prodution number. Some years they only produced little over 1000 cars, others 10K+.
