I'm sure you might have seen this, been around for a while.

Anything good or bad about this setup?

Looking for 350-400hp, turbo will be a hy35, not sure what size FMIC I need, or where to get it, or if I should get a kit, or try and make the piping myself.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Way too expensive. Thats a cheap ass ebay intercooler with some pipes and connectors. Total waste of money. You can piece that together yourself for 1/3 of that price.

Here is a similar IC for sale on ebay for $48 as an example http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/28x7x2-5-FMIC-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI_W0QQitemZ250354961781QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item250354961781&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A64|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

I bought a "Godspeed" intercooler from ebay for $89.99 with free shipping. The core is sized 24"x12"x3". It is a seeminly nice quality unit, no cracks in the end tanks, no bent fins and the welds are pretty decent (dunno about penetration). Its not light by any means but it was light on the wallet.

I have no idea about pressure drop but like others have said in other ebay intercooler threads, it can't be that much more than a "name-brand" one. I'll probably upgrade to a real intercooler in the future when the budget allows, probably air-to-water. For piping I was just going to get some aluminum u-bends and make my own with some alumiweld brazing rods and silicone couplers and t-clamps everywhere I use the alumiweld. I definitely won't be cheaping out on the t-clamps.

ebay auction similar to the intercooler I bought, except with $30 shipping

I paid about $150.00 total for my pipes and intercooler, maybe a little over that with shipping. If you are patient, you will find auctions where you can make a best offer and maybe get stuff a little cheaper. Remember that not too many people are spending money right now.

I brought this of ebay the other day for $200 Aus (about $120 US), the core measures 470mm x 160mm x 70mm, the reason I wanted this type is that the pipe fittings are on the same end, and my research (Maximum boost)suggested this type of intercooler should be better than ones with the same size core but with the pipe fitting at each end of the tank.
