sanders8800
I have been searching for a LT1 and all the prices seem outrageous. Where can I find one for pretty cheap in good shape wit harnesses?
deja
I bought a complete wrecked but drivable 94 Z28 for $1500. It was on Ebay but it was in SC so I went over and drove it home. Try http://atlanta.craigslist.org/search/pts?query=lt1&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max There are several engines listed in Georgia. Check the cars and truck section too there are a few Z28 listed. You can part out the car and make a lot of the money back. I actually ended up making money and kept the engine, tranny and complete wiring harness. Administrators BRAAP Posted March 25, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 25, 2009 What is your definition of cheap? One of my definitions for that word is it means to plan on spending more to make it right than what I would've paid for a good one to begin with. Are you looking for a good running LT1 complete for like $250 or willing to spend $1500 for average mileage runner? What is your budget? Where are you located? VinhZXT
I have a coworker selling one right now. This is an ex-cop car and he said the motor was rebuilt recently and running strong. He is asking $1500. I am in Philly PA though.
lgoodson@pacbell.net
I spend a lot of time on Craigslist. California, Arizona, Oregon, Seattle, Dallas. I see a lot of them $300 up. Right now I know if one that is a 383 with cam and the whole works with 500 miles on it for $1500 in California ofcourse, so they're out there.
