Basic L28E to L28ET required parts?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

The boys over at ZClub.net send me here.... I have done alot of searching but I can't seem to find the basics of what I require for the job at hand. I am not chasing big power.

I have a 1984 Nissan Patrol 4WD that has an L28E in it. It was originally an L28 Carb but it has been upgraded to EFI and has the N/A ECU in it.

I have sourced turbo and manifold for it and I was wondering if you helpful people could steer me in the right direction as to what extra parts will be required for the bolt on of the turbo?

I will only be running 6-8psi boost.

So far I have:

Turbo

Manifold

Electronic Ignition

Larger inline fuel pump

What else will I need for a basic 6-8psi setup? Lines etc etc

Can I run the standard N/A ECU and AFM with low boost?

From what I have read, standard injectors are good to about 200BHP.

The motor is the higher comp and was rebuild 30k miles ago.

Cheers!

Cody from Perth

Dear oh dear. The spring sure does grow many weeds to pluck.

Welcome Cody. :-) You may just want to scan titles in the Nissan L-6 section for the appropriate questions. I swear I've seen this same question several times in the last few weeks. Try the Tool Shed as well.

Yes there are plenty of threads about this, and much good information. Try to browse the stickies first.

The first thing that popped into my head was you'll need the L28ET oil pump as well [as well as a list of other random things]
