They're tire limited, suspension limited, and the weight of that pig and where it sits in the new COT platform makes for a handful to sort out, I'm sure. Mike Nextel Cup cars are ~3,500 lbs on 10" wide tires. Its amazing they get around a road course as fast as they do. Take my 350Z, add 300 lbs., add 500 hp, run it on 275 width tires and try to go fast while keeping those tires from melting off the rims. jerryb Posted June 22, 2009 Share Posted June 22, 2009 Im not a NASCAR fan but have to admit I enjoyed watching this years All Star Race, the format was better. I've been at a couple of races, including a truck race in Texas and found it boring. I had more fun watching the rednecks get drunk and stupid.
