Phlebmaster
Thanks to Paul my daughter was given the opportunity to tear down an L24 to the bare block. She enjoyed the company as well as getting to do this for the first time. What a valuable learning experience for her. Here is a video of the action. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaqEe7xxnmw
eec564
Ahh, I remember the first engine I tore down. They even let me put it back together. Ran too! It's a great thing not being afraid to get your hands dirty and dive right in, hands on experience trumps all. She can also add "Can drive a tractor" to her resume. It's true too that when first learning stuff like that gloves aren't allowed. "'Tis but a flesh wound!" -Eric
Administrators RTz Posted September 10, 2009 Administrators Share Posted September 10, 2009 The greasier her hands got, the more fun she had! And I think she was bummed the flesh wound was 'puny' I hope she doesn't think every engine tear down begins with farm equipment Glad you guy's could make it out. MAG58
I too remember my first engine tear down... I think I was six. And it was a FormulaV motor. Good times good times. ...and you're not working on cars until they draw blood.
