AZhitman
Hi guys... RB25 into S30 swap completed... but now I'm looking at the space available for exhaust, and thinking I'm gonna have to get creative. There's just not much clearance, especially if I want to lower the car at all. What's everyone else done?
markrolston@mac.com
I used oval piping for the lowest sections with separate pipes for each turbo
Canadianz
I used 3inch all the way back, single pipe w/resonator and muffler... it fits fine ... You might scrape the odd time I rarely do. I know there are a couple guys who are running 3.5 on there l28ets ... so there is room for sure Cheers Chris
jakeoster
I run full three inch off the downpipe and follow the positioning of the stock exhaust route and it fits great. Don't have any clearance issues.
streeteg
Ya pretty consistent with the other ersponses---my old exhaust hung down due to the fact that the trans mount got in the way of the tunnel. Using some creativity with oval piping I was able to gain a significant amount of clearance and it worked out fine.
RS Speed
Ya just run it down the tunnel like oem, I had a couple parts that scraped at first but they made clearance with a couple of speed bumps and now its fine lol.
synthtk
I built a 3.5" exhaust for my car, I tried tucking it up in the tunnel as far as I could but it still hangs a bit below the floorpan, barely scrapes any speedbumps. Here is a link to my thread about it. I now have a new downpipe and front half of the exhaust since I went single turbo. I haven't uploaded any pics of the new setup yet though. My car has Eibach Pro Kits, so its not lowered by much but its lower than stock.
AZhitman
Bumping this back up for more input... My swap is done, car is running, and everything except the exhaust is finished. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I just can't see sufficient space alongside the trans to properly route piping, even 2.5". I'd even consider a side-exit setup, but the frame rail simply won't allow it. Better yet, I haven't even lowered the car yet - I can only imaging how little clearance I'll have once that happens! Thanks for any input.
RB26powered74zcar
I have 4" all the way back... it's hung, that's for sure......
jakeoster
It will not tuck perfect, but it will fit and if you follow the stock exhaust route with 3" it will work. Mine hardly scrapes unless I hit a speed bump too fast.
