AZC coilover owners

He's talking about the double adjustable units that have an adjuster on the bottom of the strut. I seem to remember a thread where someone had drilled a hole in the side of the strut housing and run a rubber tube up and over the adjusting knob so that it could be accessed without having to pull the strut. Try searching and you might find it...

I'm putting together my suspension with these coilovers now and i was wondeirng if anyone has any ideas because i dont wont to unthread my shocks each time i want to change its settings.

If its a Koni double the the bottom adjuster is for compression damping. Normally this doesn't get changed much and the 8611 compression adjuster set at 3 off full soft works pretty well for 240Zs in the 2100 to 2400 lb. range.

All you have to do is jack the car up, remove one anti-roll bar link, and unbolt the steering arm (two bolts) to get the bottom of the already drilled strut tube. I've adjusted compression on the front shocks in 20 minutes between sessions at a race track.

the AZC coils use inverted shocks i think so the adjustment is under the shock.

for the rears they suggest on their site to drill a hole under the strut housings to access the adjustment knobs. it is unclear on what to do for the front.

The front struts have the ball joint and control arm right under the strut housing so using the same method in the rears isn't effective.

just wondering if anyone has came up with a solution to this.
