dhp123166
Do guys with fender mirrors have to take them off to work in their engine bay? Do they get in the way or do they just work around them ? Are they worth it?
hoov100
depends on where you have them mounted. if they are where they are supposed to be, they get in the way a little, but hardly noticeable when working on the carbs or anything. evil_datto
The power fender mirrors I have don't really get in the way much at all, but I wouldn't bother to take them off anyway cause they're a pain in the ass to get on/off.
Tony D
Had 'em for 25 years, haven't found the need to move them yet. Prefer them because of the way they knock out the 'blind spots' inherent in closer mirror placement to the driver. So for me they 'are worth it'... WizardBlack
I don't remove mine; it's not a big deal, but you will probably bump into them and have to readjust them a few times when you first get them if you wrench a lot. They are definitely worth it.
SmoothZ
Is there a company that still makes those? What was the original purpose of putting it on the fenders?

Tony D
They are availabe through any number of Nissan Vendors, and Japanese Parts suppliers bringing them over on a regular basis. Pricing new runs anywhere from $140 to 340 a pair, New in Nissan Boxes. Used, on e-bay, pricing can be better, or foolish, depending on if some 'dumbass' didn't realize they were still available new, and bid them to some stratospheric level! But you know they're available new, right? LOL
