Never fly in fog.. near the ground.

 

Actually never fly IMC without flying Instrument Flight Regulations..

There is a REASON for MCA's and MEA's (and traffic separation if nothing else). GPS is irrelevant and is only a reference after course, altitude, time, etc, etc.

 

If weather is worse than forecast you simply pull up and get a clearance.

Surprise weather happened to me several times and it's no big deal to just pop up and pick up a clearance. You don't just truck along as you CFIT. I've also had Center call traffic to me while in IMC but that they were not talking to them; now THAT is scary stuff when IMC!

 

This guy gives pilots a bad name just like wanna be Fast & Furious drivers give sport driving a bad name. The term "idiot" is too weak for describing this guy who intentionally breaks so many FAR's.
