soullessjdog Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 I broke my original r180 diff in my 260z witch has the slide in splines that go into the diff i pulled a diff out of a 240z in a junkyard and it has bolt on halfshafts now can i take off the center bolt on the 240z diff witch holds the 4 bolt flange and be able to use my slide in splines. really its a ? about on the 240z diff is it like an adapter plate? piston Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) i have no clue what your asking? run that by us again? are you saying you have slide i axles on your 260z? my early 260 came with a r180 with inner 4bolt axles. im loss on the slide in spline. i read this 3 times and still not sure what your question is. wait, if i recall my 75 280z did came with bolts, and my 260z didnt. idont know, i sold them the same week i got the car. now im lost. I would bet that you could install the threaded buttons in the 260 diff the same way that John Hines did on the 240SX diff (pics in the thread).
