240zwannabe
Ok, first off, I drive an sr20 240sx with a kaaz 2-way as a daily driver. My question was, should the differential make sort of a chattering/popping noise that i can also feel while driving in areas where low acceleration and carefulness are required (parking lots, etc..)? Thanks in advance. edit: I searched but only came up with results concerning fitment in r200's.
deja
Try some friction modifier. My R200 LSD did that too until I added the modifier, I got mine from a GM dealer but there are many options. Its a small bottle so there's no need to remove any diff fluid.

Is that something i can buy at a local auto parts store?
deja
Probably, Redline makes it. http://www.redlineoil.com/dealers.aspx But its cheap at your local Chevy dealer too.
JMortensen
Any parts store will have it. Some say GM, some Chrysler, some Ford. It's all the same stuff. If you add one bottle/container/tube and it still chatters, add another. Just keep adding until the noise goes away, you won't hurt anything. Is it the tires you hear making noise? since you have a 2 way its engaged on acceleration and deceleration, so you should hear the inside rear tire(of the direction your turning) slipping at low speeds since it wants to move at the same pace as the outside tire. Just a thought.

Just a thought. No, if it was the tires making noise, I would've said that. Not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes I come off as one. It's a popping noise when I'm trying to keep low acceleration and take turns.
240zwannabe
Is "tran-x" a friction modifier? I went to 3 different auto parts stores and I finally found that stuff. On the label it said it stops chatter and noises from limited slip diferentials.
