Delasangre4231
I need someone to take a picture of the area where the heater hoses go into the firewall from the engine side. Take a few clear ones. Nothing exists on mine so I need to see how to rebuild and where the supposed vacuum deal goes.

stprasinz
that vaccumm deal, I think its just a heat trap, I alway eliminate mine.. I don't see any adverse effects, my heater gets warm in minutes.....
Delasangre4231
So are the hoses that go from there just running into the block or around the engine? Does that device there plug right into the firewall or is another hose going from it the to nipple?
Chaparral2f
The vacuum device is actually a water shut of. If my faulty memory serves, it fits into a short hose that the goes to the tubes that go through the firewall. I'll try to find some pics. If you want your a/c system to work it's an essential part. You can look at a blowup of Jason's pic to see how the hoses are routed. The water cock side is the inlet.
