UofA_ZCar
I have searched and I have look in the FSM but I can not figure out how to remove this hose. I removed all 6 screws but there seems to be lips that overlap the body both on the top (2nd picture) and bottom (3rd picture). So can someone tell me what I'm missing or tell me which page of the 73 FSM I can find it on? Thanks

johnc
From the top, bend the rubber lip into the flange opening and then push it down. Then work the whole filler tube out the bottom of the car.
sweetride2go
It's a PITA, but ya, what John said. ^^^
UofA_ZCar
From the top, bend the rubber lip into the flange opening and then push it down. Then work the whole filler tube out the bottom of the car. That's what I thought but I didn't want to chance it with 30 year old rubber until I confirmed. Thanks for the replies. johnc
Oh, you're still chancing it, but that's the method for removing the filler tube.
Philly_G35
I used a heat gun to warm mine up before I pulled it through. I don't know if it helped, but it came out in one piece.
langfordchuck
yes, the heat trick is important, or at least very helpful.... I used a heat gun to warm mine up before I pulled it through. I don't know if it helped, but it came out in one piece.
