siege
Hey guys I have done a search but could not find what I was looking for. So my question is I am looking to get 550 to 650 whp out of my rb26 I have been thinking twin t67's or td06 20g's; I am not sure how much the 26 can flow with mild modifications cams injectors and so on. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this has been asked before; But like I said I couldn't find any information on this.
RS Speed
twin gt28rs with the smaller compressor housings would be perfect. Or even two s15 gt28r would be pretty wicked in spooling fast yet flowing enough for ~550 and they are cheap too! Here's a link to garrett's website, they make a direct bolt on turbo in the gt2860 model actually. each on supports 350 so it should get you close to your goals http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860R_707160_5.htm Edited July 21, 2010 by RS Speed
RB26powered74zcar
If you're going to stay with the stock manifolds and plumbing for now, they do have nice replacement turbos, as RS Speed mentioned. I used a different set up, due to having custom made intake and exhaust manifolds. I have the GT2876r's with internal gates, and 0.64 turbines, using twin 3" dumps into a single 4" exhaust. That is a little much if you want instant response, but I don't mind... They come on a tad bit later than stock, but pull like a freight train all the way till I want to let off. I think the way your motor and turbos are set up is the way i would like to go I just watched your video with shifting first to second getting side ways I love it. ktown z
Sorry to hijack but are the Gt2871r-10 with internal wastegates bolt on for the stock intake and exhaust plumbing?
RS Speed
According to this it will bolt on... should be a killer setup on twins http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2871R_707160_10.htm Edited July 22, 2010 by RS Speed

markrolston@mac.com
I'm running twin 2871r's on my setup with the HKS header. I'm getting 500hp on pump gas and 650 on race gas (c16). The turbos are somewhat slow to wind up for street driving, but perfect for the track. I originally went with the Tomei headers but I had such boost balance issues (turbo choo-choo) that I switched to the HKS which has mostly removed this problem. Good luck. Personally if I were building a street car I'd go with a smaller turbo for quicker spool. The car is a handful anywhere over 400hp.

Ya a little turbo lag will not bother me to much and I do plan on the 2.8 stroker later on in the build. How many of you are running after market cams like the hks 290's if you are running them how do you like them? I have not seen any thing in the forums on them yet.
