GLSHLE
Got the Z fired up yesterday to move it to the other end of the carport and some jackstands so I can fix it. It's been leaking oil, blowing oil and a bad noise in the back. Rinsed it off and went for a ride around town. Made it 1/2 block from the house, goosed it, big bang and rolled into the driveway. Doing a r200/obx, poly bushing allaround, front brakes, SS brake lines, frame repair, 700r4 and rebuild the motor. I've Got alittle money, so hopefully have it running this year. before pics. GOTHALOSISM
Agreed since it is 4" cowl at the same time. I'm trying to find a cheap FG hood to go with it to make it a functional one with hood pins.
Michael
It’s always a mixed feeling to pull the machine back in the garage: disappointment that many years of work must be again followed by work, before driving can resume; but self-satisfaction that lingering ills can now be rectified. I have to wonder, though… frame repair, replacement of all bushings, engine rebuild. It’s already September, and you’re planning on finishing all of this before the end of the calendar year? Now that’s dedication!
GLSHLE
It's worse than that, Working out in gods garage and we've had snow in the hills already. I'm unemployed, I'm a masonry forman and there is nothing going on here. Ive had 3 years to think about it. Ive got time and some money. It's not unemployment. The hood does have a hole. It doesn't stick over the cowl much so I was thinking I could put a piece of tin in the cowl to help. If I put a breather top on the air cleaner and seal it off, Ithink I'll get enough air. The guy that put he scoop on screwed it up and let it sag.

I got a scoop from them for my 73'Z, the price was right and I've yet to see widely used on the Z's.
