Scott_M67
Its been awhile since I replaced the floors and the battery tray section but last weekend I finally got around to cutting off the roof and removed the drivers quarter panel. Both the roof and quarter had such bad repairs done to them the filler was way too thick and cracking. Fortunately I was able to come across a NOS production quarter panel and it fit like a glove. Now to get things cleaned up, aligned and welded back together. This weekend I'm seperating the donor roof skin from its roof section and getting that ready to install. Scott_M67
I've been too busy to work on the Z but I managed some time this past week to get some work done. Both rockers and a dogleg repair and I have the Bad dog frame rails in now. I'm going to try to get the new driver's quarter panel squared away this weekend and deal with the litle bit of rain gutter rust I just found. Also trying to decide if I need to remove these extra brackets in the engine bay to clean things up since I'm not using the AFM any longer. I think it would really clean that area up by removing them.
240zip
very impressive. Honestly, I've parted out cars in better shape so now I feel bad.
rturbo 930
Scott, do you have any detail pictures of how the roof goes together at the B pillar? Mine is rusted, and I'm trying to get a good idea of what will need to be done.
ModernS30
Wow great looking work! I wish I had the time/money/skills to do such a thing. Maybe later on in life.
