scarp
my friend that had the 2000 c5 showed up this eve.with a new viper coupe. wanting to race me. only to find my 240 torn down. how ever he did happen to see a bigblock crate motor in the corner and ask what that was? I just told him it was an old 396. hehe but really it is a 502 ci 602 hp.from SCOGGIN DICKEY... I have alot of work to do to my old 240 as in full tube frame ect. so guess he will have to race Jon hehe. or if anyone else thinks they can handle a new viper let me know as this guy is rich but very umm stupid....... I really think I could have waxed him the way it was. except for maybe top end.... Scottie-GNZ
Where are you guys located? There is a real hotdog Viper here in Orlando, red with yellow wheels, that runs high-11s. I am hoping that after I get a couple of runs under my belt I get to line up with him. Thats one scalp (snake skin, hehe) I want hanging on my bumper. After you get done with Viper, you will need to give him the telephone number for Hennessy. Scottie
John Scott
I think you could turn a stock Viper into a worm! The potential for top speed wars is in the favor of some of the projects here. It would be nice to know that a major auto builder already added/tested the necessary parts though. JS
Mikelly
Scott, Check under the chassis and suspension section for ideas on tube chassis work and also check with SpencZ or go to his website and see the work he is doing on his. scarp
hi ya'll I got to drive my friends new viper today I must say I was pretty impressed. but from 70 mph up it really did not pull as hard as my 240 the way it was..... the viper seemed to not be all they have said it is as it really did not feel very stable at speed.... and was fairly unpedictable.... sorry but I'll take my old Z.... wish it was still on the road as I would have spanked this viper.. they must have alot of weight to them also as it seemed less nimble than my old wore out and rebuilt 240..... VIPERS BEWARE !!!!!!!! Scarp
Guest Anonymous
Mind talking how you go about doing a full tube frame chassis? I'm not sure I want to go quite that far with my Z due to expense, but I'm open to suggestions. Are you DIYing this or farming it out? I've long since decided that "practicality" and "common sense" don't apply to this car. S
MYRON
Stan, How did that thing feel coming out of the hole? There is a kid down here that wants to run me but he is sprayng a 100 shot to it... My car is aprox 475 hp and running 2500 rpm stall on 16x8 205/50zr street tires. I am very traction deficient coming out of the hole.
