...updated sheet. Tripple Carb Info Sheet - updated 31 March 2008.pdf -
Hi Guys, I've installed my tripple DHLA40L Carbs recently. The motor is an L28 and in need of a rebuild in the near future, perhaps 6 to 12 months away at this point so I don't want to blow a heap of money getting them professionally set up on a dyno until after the rebuild. In the mean time I thought I would get them running as well as I could. My L28 is stock with elec dizzy, headers and 2 1/4" pipe with a hot dog and turbo flow muffler. The engine idles ok atm however running extremely rich. I've been using the Des Hammill book "How to tune Webers & Dellortos". Anyhow I've attached a spread sheet I hope to build on as I fumble my way through the world of tripple carbs. Please advise me of your tripple set up and have a look at my info todate correcting anything that might sound off. I know there are alot of variables depending on engine set up and driving style when it comes to tuning tripples but I'm just trying to get to a start point and then keep fine tuning. I hope to keep some mid range power rather than have a car that has to be driven around at 5500rpm every time I go down the street. Cheers, Sulio Tripple Carb Info Sheet.pdf

The Targa Tasmania is an event held once a year on a southern Island State of Tasmania in Australia. Some of the guys from www.auszcar.com recently had a week long trip to the area finishing with a track day at Symmons Plains race track. toecutter replied to k3werra's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
My current set are 3 piece ROH Venturo wheels in 17 inch. 17x8.5 (-6 offset) for front and 17x9.5 (-19 offset) at the back. 5-6 weeks to be made. I think tyres are 225x45 front & 255x40 rears. Pics of past wheels I've had also. -

Hi Yasin, the bulk of the cars in viczcar would be S30's. I don't think the 280ZX in Australia is very popular as they were only offered here as 2+2's. Not many z31 turbos' here either. I think all the australian deliveries were n/a. It would be nice to have access to L28ET's in junk yard like in the US but oh well, we do have alot of RB25 / 26's available here so thats proven a popular conversion for the old S30! Sulio -

Yer I started it that way and love hearing the engine rev but it got a little annoying after a while. Most likley listening to it over and over again that did it. I did a short 30 second version up here some where of just the engine. Thanks Guys, Yasin I've got a stock L28 with headers and 240 SU's. I just installed the L28 and have a set of 40mm tripple Dells finished and ready to go when I get some time to bolt them on, (Prolly in December as the SU's are very reliable atm). I think Evans car is pretty stock L26 motor wise with LSD diff not sure of ratio, has been lowered with the addition of flares and front air damn similar to my own. I'm pretty sure he's hoping to install an RB motor in his car though. EDIT: The better quality version. Sulio -

hehe-yer good eye olie05. Sped up abit and audio also dubbed from my engine bay. I stuck the camera in the engine bay and edited that in at a later point. My aim is to play around with the footage and try to make it as entertaining as possible, having good fun putting it together. -

Thanks Steeltoad. Yer I've been playing around trying to learn how to use the software. It's great fun to put vids together of Z's. I hope I can get some decent footage in November to have a bit of dialogue in the mix also... Sulio -
Hi Dave, You'll prolly notice when you look at the longer vid but it's actually from the short run of about 5 or 6 km of Studley Park twisty road up near Heidleberg, Kew sorta area. But yer the Black Spur run is pretty good. I'd imagine a few cops on it these days also. Cheers, Sulio

hehe-bird chirp audio was from my back yard. Good one ya mate. Just in case anybody is curious thats Evan in the green car. Evan I've finished the complete vid but I've been logging on in Net Cafe's in Byron Bay and uploading is a pain but I'm back tonight so I'll get it up as soon as I get home. By the way I liked the video quality from your camera. What model is it? Can't wait for this Z cruise to Bulla in November, should get some really good stuff with heaps of Z's in the mountains and so far three cameras all bolted to cars in and out...Just gotta buy a decent hand held CB radio for communication with the other cars. Sulio
