Hey buster, I do like that clean look but as I said there is that raised face on the rear fin that is clearly meant for a badge of some sort. So I got a freind to make me up 3 fairladyZ badges, 1 for the rear and one for to replace the DATSUN badge on each side. I got them fresh out of the moulds today and gave them some paint in original colours when I got home.

Before I dropped of the bits I took a photo just to get an idea of how low the airdamn would sit in real life. I bolted it on and went foir a drive to put some air in my tyres. The air damn just cleared the gutter when I parked so I'll have to be careful. I thought about adding rubber to it to extend it about another inch or so which would get it looking lower but it would'nt be an issue for clearance. What do you fellas think about adding a rubber lip to the extend the airdamn. I think if it was really neat it would just look like a continuation of the airdamn. Also, the rear fin has a flat section for a badge. I've seen people use this space for either a FAIRLADY badge or a BRE badge. Not sure what would look better. I like the FAIRLADY badge purely because it always throws people when they check the car out. A freinf of mine has got some steel FAIRLADY badges from Japan. Hmmm...I'll have to see if he can make some copies. It would be easy enough to make moulds for them but what material would you use to make the actual badges. There must be some sort of resin one could use!??????

Not sure how much they are as I have been looking for them for a few weeks now but I've just come across them on the net and I'm waitng for a response from the company that sells them in Taiwan. But I'm sure other places sell them!????? Any input would be useful! Sulio

I bought the BRE rear fin or as some call them spook rear spoiler today! Of course that'll be black too- hopefully I can have them both in the paint shop next week and fitted to the car soon after. Sulio:-D

Richard, I don't think Fibreglassman on e-bay is the same person. Grymlynsan, that sure does look nice. I'm not a fan of those headlight covers either. Looking forward to seeing your car finished. Thanks guys black it is! Grymlynsan, I bought the air dam from a friend who makes them to order. He makes this front air damn as well as about three other popular types seen on the net. Finally chose an airdamn and its coming soon but not sure on the colour to paint it, red or black. Tried out my limited photoshop skills to give me an idea but still not sure. I think I might go the black. Any suggestions?

Got new price from Nissan. $120.00 inc GST per side. Not too bad I suppose. I don't think that was trade price so I could probably source them for about $90-$100ea:) if hunt around. Cheers Sulio

I used screws I found at my local fastener store. Zinc plated 12gram x 20mm pan head self tapping screws with a suitable small washer. $10 for a bag of 100!

I just did the S13/Z31 rear disc upgrade on my zed (finished it and was on the way to the track 2 minutes later). I made my own caliper brackets (large chunky fuckers by welding two bits of plate together). The guy who I brought the calipers/rotors off had it on his car with a modified R31 caliper bracket which worked. Might be worth having a squiz? I now have access to a mill so after I've made up some nicer ones I'll give mine away if you wanted to have a look? Dave Thanks Dave, that would be good. PM me when you've made the new ones. I was told this too so I checked out a junk yard with five R30 in it and three R31. All the brackets were welded on!? What was the part number you quoted? I've been following this thread because of the rear disc upgrade. Unfortunatley in Australia we did'nt get the early Maxima that is mentioned. Has any body got detailed drawings of these maxima brackets? Has anybody had them made up from aluminium? Sulio
