  1. Oh and how'd they look in the z?
  2. Vw recaro interior looks a lot dif from those, my cousin had a few late 80's gti with full recaro interior and it wasn't those
  3. So you plan on using the r230? What do you think of the wolf creek cv axle option? Either way good luck with this venture keep us posted
  4. Not sure if this has been covered already, but aren't most of the autometer electronic speedos programable? And if you have a programable one their website says that you can change tire size or gearing whenever and just re calibrate it, so based on this would we even need to find a different cog to match whatever rearend we have?
  5. Do you have any pictures of you iPod mount that you made, I was thinking bout putting the iPad at angle so it mounts flush, it'd possibly eliminate heater controls though
  6. I've been thinking about molding the center console with fiberglass and making a spot to mount/ install a iPad as the stereo. Has anyone seen this or tried it?
  7. Glad to see you got things sorted out

    Anti-lag

Anyone have a vid of their anti lag or 2 step
  9. I've read on how to install regular 350z seats, but has anyone done the electric powered seats?
  10. The fmic is cheap compared to what everything else has cost me, it was just an idea i had, and I know my dad would rather have me try and use that then buy a different one. What size front mount would you all recommend, I plan on staying with the stock power for a lil bit, then a few mods and up the power to 350-400
  11. I was contemplating using the stock intercooler for awhile, mainly to cut down on the budget. Has anyone done this and if so do they have pictures of this setup. Or would it be just as easy just to do the front mount
  12. I was thinking about saving and getting the complete to be on the safer side of things, so would you recommend wiring specialties and their harness?
  13. Good work on the swap, did you get the new harness or had them convert your original harness from wiring specialties?
  14. I used to drive a lowered and fixed up integra and was coming home from the gym. I wasn't speeding and was coming up to a intersection and the light turned yellow tried to brake, but realized I couldn't stop so I blipped the gas and went through. As I was going through I noticed a cop sitting at the corner of the intersection ( thinking to myself oh f*#%). Needless to say he pulled out and followed me for bout a mile and finally pulled me over. I explained that I tried to stop, but didn't have enough time. He let me off with a warning. He then proceeded to tell me that I have a nice lowered car with wheels and stuff, and it'll draw "attention" from the police. So basically he told me that he profilled me and my car. Even when your doing nothing wrong and you come up to a cop with a bad attitude look out.
  15. I found this at rhd Japan The NISMO Super Coppermix Single Plate Clutch High Power Spec SR RB is the high power spec type of Super Coppermix which can handle 420ps. The great thing about the NISMO clutches are that they are very high performance products, but keep their everyday driving comfort. The NISMO Super Coppermix Single Clutch uses a 240mm size damperless disc and aluminum cover combination to improve the overall cooling performance of the set up as well as the transmission. A lightweight flywheel is equipped which is made of special chromoly to achieve the ideal weight for maximum torque. The clutch cover is made from a special aluminum with a high heat-radiating ability.
  16. Can't wait to see pictures of it installed, great build thread you have going
  17. thanks pat do you know anything about the numbers on the ecu?
  18. not sure dont have any of the wires hooked up they all are in a box this is what the top of the cover looks like. I thought that there was a difference in how the coils look as well, thats why i posted the first pics.
  19. I was told that this is a series 2 rb25det motor, I know there is a difference between coil packs but im just learning mechanical things, Im more of a body fender guy. I was wondering if anyone can tell from these pictures I took, when I was taking these I noticed the second coil from the timining belt cover is facing the opposite way, same way with the one second from the other end, is it supposed to be like that, and the last thing that concerns me is the ecu, i searched the numbers from it and I get one place saying its a series one and another a series 2. Im asking cause i was going through a shop for all the motor work but recently lost trust in them, so Im just double checking I got what I paid them for.
  20. Its about time i update this post, got a oil pan from pat1, new fuel line kit, r200 rear end and mustach bar. As for the car itself finshed the body work installed new "custom" 1/8" steel frame rails. Put the car in primer and painted the engine bay and the underside of the hood black. I also have decided to do the rest of the swap at home with my dad instead of going through a shop to do it.
  21. I know up garage in washington state, has used the r33 crossmember when they did the rb25 swap for a customer, they were real helpful when i called and talked to them about the swap
  22. if its around the 100 dollar range itd be interested and if it'll fit a series two motor without messing with the artwork
  23. finally have a few picture updates of some progress made, havent had time to do much lately so things are moving a little slower than i would like. but here it goes. finaly replaced the rusted out battery tray, did some more body work, not shown but stripped the interior, got the motor set in started tearing it down, pulled the old motor tranny driveshaft and exhaused. the fresh motor is back from the machine shop and is being put back together, now i gotta finish the body work and clean up the engine bay, and a few other things that i know i am forgetting
  24. hey what have you decided to do for gauges? or did i just miss reading what you finally did
