  1. F$&k it I'll stick with my Eibachs and Tokikos. My only worry on those is people say the Eibach's leave the front sitting too high still. Whitehead here in Ontario told me I might have to chop the top 3 dead coils off to achieve that nice stance. Won't know till it's all together and sitting on the ground.
  2. Yeah I'm saying no muffler, no glasspack; just pipe and a tip for looks. Even the glasspack is going to muffle the sound somewhat.
  3. I love the twice pipe set up, but I'm thinking even louder (and cheaper). Has anyone run a 4-2 header and mated it to some straight pipes (noresonator, no muffler) maybe with some nice tips for looks? I saw some vids online and look pretty nice. Would you loose much power? Any drawbacks aside from being a heatscore and pissing off the neighbourhood?
  4. like coilovers I guess? Pretty beefy looking. Silver casings with the purple logos, red perches, gold camber plates, etc. I just don't want to start cutting up my car for something I don't think I need. But it's nice to have adjustability, super low ride height, with good results. They're mine for $100 he told me.
  5. pretty sure they're the downdrafts. same kit that msa or blackdragon sells
  6. I know its been asked before, but is it worth it to do the swap? My friend left me the entire kit (needs rebuild though) with the intake manifold sitting on my bench for me. Car has a 2.8 with the SU's from the 2.4 mounted on it already. I've never heard it or driven it. Is it worth swapping and rebuilding the Webers or keep the roundtop SU's?
  7. Has anyone tried modifying these and running them on a 240? My friend has a bunch of old stuff he's selling, and said I can have them dirt cheap, he'll even section the strut casing for me. Just wondering how much custom work im in for if I run these? comes with the camber plates too but im not keen on chopping up the shocktowers. Car will be a weekend warrior with occasional track. I've got some new Tokiko HP's and Eibachs already, should i just stay with those? Whole car is getting poly bushings and ST swaybars as well.
  8. stay away from Ractive stuff. It's crap quality, especially for a car like this. Stay away from those car show "Recaros" too, as their even worse. Try and find some old real recaros, or go for some Sparcos or Cobra or Corbeau (not too expensive depending on the model). Not too sure about mounts and that stuff, but invest in some good seats, or at least one for you.
  9. Which Nissan dealer got you the parts? I'm in Richmond Hill. My door panels aren't horrible, but I'd love a new set since the rest of the interior is pretty decent. So they can't get 280 style panels? Will 280 panels fit properly on a 240 door? What would need to be modified? Sean digistar_media@hotmail.com 647-501-6725
  10. you got it at a good price. The car was for sale forever. I remember him wanting over 2 grand for at one point. I'm hoping to have mine on the road this summer too. when they're done lets go for a cruise.
  11. Wow I can't believe someone finally picked up that car. It's been for sale forever. I was interested before but the guy selling it just completely turned me off of it. I'm in the same situation as you. I've got a '71 I'm restoring. For suspension on the cheap I'd suggest some Tokikos ($500 for shocks and springs from an ontariozcar member) (HP's are what I picked up, but Illuminas have the adjustment for dampening, but double the price). I've got Eiback pro kit springs (cheap, good company). I've also ordered a poly bushing master set ($220 I think from PI) and Suspension Techniques sway bar set ($420 from Performance Improvements). For brakes, the cheapest thing is Toyota 4x4 4 piston calipers and a drilled & slotted rotor with some good pads. For the rear there are a lot of options. Cheapest and easiest I think would be doing a 240sx swap. BTW, any chance you want to get rid of the front airdam, i`d take it off your hands. let me know Sean digistar_media at hotmail.com
  12. Has anyone tried fitting the MSA twice pipe system with an old Monza 3-2 header? My car is being built with budget in mind and trying to use as much as what I got with the car as I can. This includes an old Monza header. It's rusty and has a small dent near the collector (which appears to be rusted on), but looks similar to the MSA header. If I could save the part with sandblasting/hi temp paint and reuse it, that would be great. Trying to save myself the few hunded $ it would cost for the MSA header as well.
