No they are not the same car! You would have to cut the complete firewall out and weld it back into the LHD car! I am helping a friend do a Ferrari convertible kit to RHD. He already had the car stripped and media blasted. The firewall is not even close to the same for mounting the dash or steering or pedals.

They make a bolt that is like a wing-nut! It has and ear that you grab instead of using a screw driver! Sell them at Ace Hardware and most hardware stores. Just ask someone for help.

Odd that you should mention the wheels! I was over helping Mark on the door skins and he mentioned that he wanted me to have the wheels as he has no use for them. I gave Mark a set of true spoke 16" Daytons 8" and 10" wides with the convertible I sold him. I'm going to paint the wheels gold and put them on a completely stock green 260z I have.

Roger280ZX: If its the car I am thinking about, it was on Craigslist a couple months ago! The guy I sold my Ferrari convertible replica to( Mark) bought it. He called me as I went with him to pick it up in Monroe Ga. Had been wrecked and had lots of rust but he only wanted it to convert his Ferrari replica over to RHD. I bought a RHD from Mark and then I found a Ferrari coupe kit(Craigslist) to put on it. Marks Ferrari is a convertible. A guy had it at his bodyshop in Monroe. Just putting this out as recent knowledge- It could be another car your talking about!

I have a real RHD from Japan. It is a 1975 280Z. Has the 240Z style bumpers like the 70-73 have. I dont think Japan made the car manufactures use the large bumpers for their 280z like the American market did. That's what I was told by previous owner. This RHD has been highly modified. Has the IMSA kit with a whale tail spoiler and mustang side pipe covers for it. Also has the triple weber carbs for the motor. What is the price range for a real RHD going for in the Caribbean? At present it has a 4 barrel conversion on it, but that will be removed. Let me know if you need anything else!

Paint job looks great on the computer,hope it turned out good in person. Do you still have the cowl hood that was on it when you bought it? If so I would be interested! Where in southern Utah do you live? Monument Valley is my favorite place in the world. Awesome scenery in southern Utah. Good luck with the rest of the assembly process.
