Just so I have this straight, I have my MS-II setup as such (this was what I figured a good generic setup would be):
- IAC - Stepper Motor
- Ignition - Hall/Optical/Coil Neg - Coil Neg. Circuit installed, jumpered D1 & D2
- PWM Flyback Dampening circuit and standard circuit installed.
So I what do I need to leave in the original system to keep the stock VR distributer and ignition box working? From what I have read, does the attached image show what I should need?

Make loud noises. If it doesn't turn tail and run you're screwed. Don't be threatening just grab a stick or something start making a bunch of noise. It's about the only chance you have.

Electric. I prefer electric anyway. The air ones I think bind up too easily.

For 3" pipe use a long bi-metal blade on a reciprocating saw. Gotta love that Lincoln 175hd. I have one as well and I couldn't be happier. And yes, Mattsun, gas is a must!

Is the car a project? If it is running and good as it sits, then don't mess with it. Stick it in the garage and keep it clean. You still have one project and the second 240 to boot doesn't hurt. If you have no place to put it, find someone else to buy that one off you and recoupe some of your money.

Well, can't you see? It's rare because it's a TURBO N42 head. That's so rare, I've never heard of it. I think he's a bit out in left field for this part, but at least he's not insane on prices.

Cool. I think this will be the route I'll go. Try and get up and running quickly.

Use a punch and drive the easy out ...well out. Drill the stud just until you might risk hitting the threads. Take a small punch and fold the stud in at the edges. Soak some more with penetrating oil then take the reverse bits to it. It will come out. Use heat also.

I would soak it down in penetrating oil and try some titanium reverse drill bits.

Wow that's great info. Thanks so much. Now if I use the stock ignition module does that mean the MS-II wouldn't be running the spark?

So it would be easier to run the MSD then? I can easily get one. As far as the enclosure for the IAT goes, I figure I can pull one from whatever vehicle I get the IAT off of. I have a friend that owns a junkyard. I do a lot of business with him.

I think your issue with spark and you not responding issue in MT are related. If your MS is reseting that would explain the dropped spark. How do you have your ignition wired up?

Ok, I built an MS-II box I was trying to sell but apparently people want the MS-I boxes more (probably because they're cheaper). Anyhow, since the box didn't sell (I was asking $400) I'm considering installing it on my 81 daily driver. It's an NA all stock engine and I plan to keep it that way as I really just want reliable and good gas mileage for this car. Here's my questions:
1- I don't have nor want a turbo distributor to do this. Can I use the stock NA distributor and how?
2- Obviously I want to eliminate the AFM. So in effect I need to drill and tap an air temp sensor in the intake right? The MAP should take care of the measurements.
3- Idle Air Control...Ok I've done a lot of thinking on this. Can I just pull one off a 90's Camaro or some kind of Chevy and tap the intake for that as well, or does it have to be in an enclosure? I can't seem to wrap my mind around exactly how this works. Does the sensor itself allow air in or is it nothing more than a solenoid that opens a passage in the enclosure?
Ok, from my reading I think the stock distributer is a VR type, but every layout I've seen show an HEI triggering the coil. Is that must? I can get an MSD 6AL from a friend for cheap if I need to, but if the stock system fires the coil, why can't MS do it? Anyhow, I've been shoving so much info into my head that I really need to just let it all digest and get some more basic answers I guess. Any help is appreciated.

Good question. For the time being though you could always take a screen shot and use the image. I know it's not the best solution, but hey, work with what you've got.

Sorry, have to pull it apart to replace that bearing. Not to mention, where do you suppose the rest of the balls and the pieces of the retainers went?

You got it. Not adjustable. Those were on my DD when I first bought it. The PO had just had them put on and I figured I'd just let them ride as the springs seemed good at the time. Well, a year down the road and they're shot, along with the springs. not sure if the shocks just aren't giving enough rebound and over stressing the springs or what, but the whole suspension is toast. It's the only thing in my suspension that concerns me. Bushings need replacement, but I feel most of my body roll in the suspension. Hitting bumps it like riding a rigid mount chopper. Sucks, but one of these days I'll be able to afford my new struts and springs.

Doesn't matter if it's a hybrid or stock. I get the same ignorant people driving around in my 81zx DD. Those are the people who feel they have something to prove to everyone they see with sporty looking car. The people you want to race are the ones at the track, not on the street. The real talent and power shows up at sanctioned events.

84? I think so. I can't remember the last year of the I6 maxima, but that might be right. It'll be a 2.4L with fuel injection.

Whoa! I can't believe the info you pulled! Scary, really. Would you mind sharing how you got that exactly? I'd like to make that info not public if at all possible.
As for the domain, I use http://www.directnic.com for my domain service. It's like $15 a year for 2Gb bandwith, no ads, etc. Very, very cheap...
It's pretty easy. Just go to http://www.whois.net and type in the domain you want info on. You can also download whois programs for the PC that will give you the same info.

Just publisher. I was really bored today. It's all just pics I had either online or on my computer and putting it all together in Publisher. Thanks again (BTW I added the hot spots and uploaded.)

Why not pickup a full set of the Sportmax 002 16x8 wheels from the group buy page? They're sweet rims and cheap. Get a full set for less than one of those Konigs I bet.
