Well mines a turbo manifold but I'm sure the NA version is just as hard. Damn non cross flow head, look at all the room on the other side.

I agree with the easy outs being anything but on the Z, I broke 2 trying to get the broken bolts on my exhaust manifold/heat shield out. It is almost a art getting the intake off and on with all the heat shields in place. Most people ditch them, I kept mine. I guess I'm just masochistic. I'm getting have way decent at getting the bottom bolts now.

1989-1996 240sx throttle body linkadge ?
Nathaust replied to NISMO619's topic in Fabrication / Welding
Yes the spacer is only needed if you want to keep the stock throttle linkage. Depending on which 240sx TB you use you may have to shave a little off the intake if you mount it with the linkage/spring side toward the engine without a spacer in use, or you can flip it over like in 240 hokes picture and run your cable along the outside. It just depends how you want to run the cable if that's the way you want to go. -
Ok guys your scaring me now. So you think 12psi might be pushing it? I was running fine at 10 without my intercooler and now that I have it I should be wary to up the boost with the stock fuel side? I don't have a EGT or proper wideband yet but I'm going to run a Air-fuel meter from 3 bar racing http://www.3barracing.com/product_3.htm for some insight into if I'm running lean or not. I know that these voltage based air/fuel meters are a far cry from a real wideband but I thought it would be better then nothing untill I can afford a real one.

Hey 240zv8, where north of Seattle are you?

Ok I broke down and bought a fan that would fit. I went with a 12 which will give me no problems mounting and it has a decent shroud. If this proves to not be enough to cool it there is room to add a second 12 of the same kind. thx for all your input. jon

Thx for the replys guys, I think I'll just break down and get a 14 that will fit. The 16 was fairly cheap and it is going to be a pain to fab up a shroud to my liking. My tolerance for running my intercooler pipe behind the mechanical fan is pretty close. Has anyone just spaced the mechanical fan out closer to the radiator and ran the piping behind the stock fan? I know a electric fan will be superior in cooling but I was thinking of a temporary solution untill I get a electric fan that fits right. If I spaced it out I have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch between the engine and intercooler pipe and between the intercooler pipe and the fan and between the fan and the radiator. Does the enigine move that much forward driving? thx john

I don't see them either. I think a CF tail light panel would look awesome, must see pictures:-)

Thanks JTMNY and Phil So with the stock injectors pump and FPR your guys think 12psi is fine?

I have a 16in electric fan that I was/am going to install in my 240z turbo. The problem I have is that my radiator is not 16 inches from top to bottom. Is there any good reason I should not mount the fan leaving the bottom inch or so hanging below the radiator? I supose this will not look most professional but is there any other reason? My other option would be to go to a 14in but I already have the 16 and I would be still using most of the surface area from the 16 hanging low then a 14 that fit flush. Any advice? thx jon

Hi, I just finished my intercooler installation and am wondering if 12psi is too high for my l28et. Its running 10psi now and has been sinse I got it and it runs fine. It is pretty much stock except for 3in dp and exhaust. My fuel side is stock injectors/pump as is my ECU/EFI. I went to a 60mmTB and am using a TurboXS BOV. I plan on upgrading my fuel side next while I save for a programable EFI. I'm using a MBC. Can I raise my boost to 12 before upgrading the fuel side? thx jon

That guy just has way too much money. He should give some to me rather then vandalize a nice car.

Hi, I'd like to go to magasquirt on my l28et but the whole installation/tuning part is more then a little intimidating. Those of you that have it, were you able to just jump in a learn as you go or did you have help/experience with stand alone engine manegment? I'd like to either have help or take it to someone for the initial install and so I could be shown all the particulars but I'm unsure where to look. Anyone in the Seattle area familiar with this or know where a decent shop that could help me? thx

Intercooler Installation - Let the Fun Begin!!!
Nathaust replied to Nigel's topic in Turbo / Supercharger
That looks awesome. Why did you have to re clock the turbo? was it just to get the heat shield on there or are you running something other then the T3? I think the throttle linkage looks very professional, especially coming through the firewall. What is the purpose of "bead rolling"? What does it mean exactly? Forgive my ignorance. Anyway, it looks good, make me feel motivation to start mine. -
Would any local Z guys be interested in a FULL RB25DET Swap Setup???

What kind of price would Vildini charge to install it?
