ah! I wasn't even thinking about that. Now; to figure out how to put the two 6x9's in the place of the stock 6.5's. Should I try to make a mounting bracket on top of the stock hole, or cut the stock hole out to make room for the 6x9's?

thanks alot, tom! it's much appreciated! I'm thinking about putting the 6x9's in the place of the original 6.5's. ANd just keeping those there and that's it, other than the one 12" Kicker sub I plan on putting in. Eh. I need to think about this stuff for a bit. will post later when i decide what i'm going to do.

I sold my old computer, and bought a bunch of stereo stuff. Brand new alpine head unit, 100 bucks (friends = good deals) two fosgate 6x9's, two 6.5's. I plan on putting the 6x9's in the doors. any advice?

thanks you guys! I didn't even think about keeping the lip how it is. I don't know why I love that style, and now i'll be sure to sand them down before painting them. Any suggestions on paint? also, thanks for the suggestion auxillary but the thing is I wanted black/gun metal wheels. I just don't want to pay up to 600 a wheel to do so.

I, being on an extremely limited budget, came up with the idea of just painting my current wheels. They are extremely dirty from brake dust (the former owner obviously never washed her) and i've already spent hours trying to clean them and make them look presentable. I'm close to saying fudge it and painting them black. these aren't the ones aren't mine, but the kind i have. (stole pic from cardomain)

I'm tired of hearing about all those guys up north having all the fun cookouts and such. I've seen plenty of z's around here and was thinking there's at least a few that post here. So let me know if you're in the fl/ga area. Hopefully I'll get a new tranny soon because my 3 spd= 3500rpm + at 80 mph. (gas guzzling worse than a hummer. haha) this is baaad for highway travel. Anywho, discuss discuss discuss!! -b

i saw a video of some guys with a gsx-r 600 motor on a one seater go kart. he couldn't keep the tires from smoking....haha he had a shifter rigged near the steering wheel. probably the sickest thing i've ever seen in my life. good luck, as i have no idea how to do something like this.!!!
