I think it used to have a sunroof but they welded it shut because it kept leaking. I don't mind, but it does look like crap from the inside. So did anyone figure out if I should swap motors or what?... :

My car(s);;; (just the "highlights," for the rest, go to my photobucket the interior on the "new" one (the 5spd gold/tan one,79 model) is horrible. The everything leaks and I need to fix that. however, the exterior on the 82(silver) silver one is even worse, and therefor a harder fix. if you go to the photobucket you can see everything I sanded and bondo'd on the silver one. I've only had the gold one for 3 days and haven't had the chance to work on it because of my actual job. plus the wheels on the 79 are way sweeter. I gotta clean em up real good though, because of brake dust and cool stuff like that. Gotta replace the brake pads (they are down to the metal on the right rear one) anywho, I think I'm going to swap heads from my old one, since that motor runs so much stronger than the gold ones. They have the same head(N42, I believe), just the 82(silver) has about 50 thousand less miles on it. /le sigh I need a new exhaust badly because the 79 (gold) leaks all over the place. and all of the gauges work in the new one except for the temperature gauge (sketchY!!!) but at least the speedo/odo work, because that's a luxury the silver z doesn't have. also, the gold one USED to have a sunroof, but I guess they sealed it up after it started leaking (dumbasses) ps i didn't put that intake there. the previous owner, my friend hank, has a turbo lexus sc 400 that is in the shop, so he put that intake there until he gets it back. the tube is from an rsx, and the filter is a k&n for his 2jz. don't forget to check out the album for lots lots more, including my new neighbor's house. he's a cop that for some reason always has a sweet lookin lancer with ground effects and a wing in front of his house, and a crx si with a tarp over it. I think he's a cop by day, street racer by night. I don't know I haven't quite got the story on him yet. haha. tell me what you think! ---b

my friend just got a hold of a 90 rx7. i tried my damndest to convince him to go v8, but he didn't have any of it.

GO 5SPD I just drove my 5spd z for the first time and their is nothing quite as invigorating as the feeling you get from lurching back and forth from your car squatting from the throttle!

I got it! oh man it drives very nicely for 200 bucks. the transmission works beautifully. it has b pillar chrome covers (40 bucks on ebay) the rear hatch struts work so well i can barely close it (another 40-50) the speedo is a 120 mph i think (i didn't get to go that fast with my mom following me home) OH THE WHEELS. OH MY GOD. they are black enkei 15's with a chrome lip that are definetly going on my car!! everything leaks. all of the interior was soaking wet (my but was wet when I got home D: ) but man i'm excited to start taking parts off of it for my z! I will be parting it out after I'm done with it, what ever I don't use. I'd bring it to the junkyard but why not spread the wealth? it's a 79, by the way. *calms down* /rant

TRIPTRONIC DOO IT haha I don't think they make any tiptronic (auto, with the up and down shifter alt mode) that you could use. would be sweet, though.

(warning:::You will not care about any of the following) My parents have told me since I was able to understand language that they were not going to purchase me a car. So I worked for years, saved up and bought my Z for 750$. I am buying a donor car for it tomorrow, all completely without the assistance of my parents. My father has voluntarily helped me with body work, gave me advice on what I should/shouldn't do. My mom has told me that she'll split the exhaust and interior costs. (my mom's a softie) But other than that, I think it's a far cry from some of the kids around here that drive up with 20-30 thousand dollar cars during their junior/senior years. It's invigorating, especially to those of us who actually had to work long and hard for what we have. /rant

I'm tempted to use the new car as the actual driver. But the motor is in worse shape than the one i have already... but the body and interior is uh.....slightly nightmarish. maybe take panels off the old car and put em on the new? seeing that I just spent 8 hours on fathers day working on it. that sounds so much less intimidating than doing a transmission swap. (cue horror music) *sigh* so much to think about, so little brain power...
