the wiring in her was a mess.
But not unsalvageable.
Luckily, my dad is a freaking electrician, and swooped in and saved the day.
I was thinking about putting the two 6x9's i have behind the seat, because I'm lazy and ultimately dumb, when my father suggested we cut some holes out of the storage compartment bins and throw the speakers in there.
We did it, and it looks wonderful! I'll get some pics up sometime this week I promise.
I need to get some grills to avoid messing up the speakers, though.
Anywho, the old head unit had a little filter box with a fuse in it, and for some reason it didn't work when we tried to use it with the new head unit, so right now I'm stuck with a regular radio/tape deck until I figure out what the heck is wrong with the new alpine head unit I just bought.
Anywho, sorry to add to the clutter. I'm just really excited that we got something done.
In the same day, I also got rid of 90% of the rust and brake dust that has plagued my poor wheels in the past 20something years or so.
Up next on the list is replace the rear struts with KYB's from the 82 parts car, and replace the rear brake pads while we're at it.
Me+dad=INVINCIBLE.
