Still no luck. I set the initall timing to 0 tdc and the rotor facing the #1 plug. I did move the oil shaft 1 tooth and now its dead on just not wanting to start. I know I have spark, fuel, and air so it has to be a timing thing.
Yes we used a timing light and it was either at 0 at TDC or the mark was under the water pump depending on how I adjusted it. Trigger angle is at 67 and the addition is at +22.5. I tried ajusting the trigger angle both ways and nothing seems to work.
Ok new update: I finally got a new turbo dizzy and wired it up and finally got it to spark. Now the issue I have is that when I start the car it wont go over 400 rpm and thats with me flooring it. As soon as I release the throttle the car dies. I set the initail timing at 0 degrees at TDC and have the spark setting at 67 with a 22.5%.
Can you help me figure out what is wrong?
I know this has been covered at least once but i have been searching for a while now and my eyes hurt.
Long story short I fried my turbo Dizzy and now I need to use a N/A dizzy with using fuel only from MS. So once I swap out the dizzies how do I wire them up using MS 1 3.57 board? The newer dizzy is out of a 82 n/a with the vaccuum advance on it.
Just to fill you guys in I just got back my MS unit from DIYautotune for repairs. (did a great job and were very helpfull). Now my issue is I rewired everything back up and I have no spark. I know I'm getting power to the coil and the dizzy but nothing after the coil. So can it be the CAS thats bad or is it something eles that it can be?
I also reloaded my msq file so every thing is the same when the car was running. Is it possible that the CAS went bad? If so where do I get a new one? By the way its an 83 turbo dizzy.
on a side note I also swapped out the coil with a spare that i had just to make sure.
Good eyes...
Its from a 1988 Daytona CSX-T
In other words the super rare Shelby Daytona version of the 1968 Mustang 350gt-H
It was rented out by Hertz Car Rental as well and only 1000 were made. Good thing is that it fits on the steering column with no mods, it just bolts right on with the stock nut.
Well to make my car an even more a hybrid. I came across this and thought it might fit on the shaft. Boy was I right, it just slipped on and tightend down. Now All I have to do is hook up the horn button...
Enjoy!!! ( Can you guess what its from?)
I have just finished my install and the car runs great. The only thing I would love to see in the megatune software or some other visual output would be able to see what I'm getting in MPG. Not sure on the programing of the MS but I think it would be benifical to have.
I searched and could not find any info. Can I wire up the stock TPS thats on my engine or do I have to swap it out? Right now I'm not using a tps and am getting tired of not having one.
I was looking at the wiring harness to see how the injectors wire in to it and the harness only has 2 wires. One for inj 1-3 and 4-6. So how do I wire in the injector wiring to the new MS harness?
by the way its ms 1 with teh 3.57 board with spark control on a 83l28et for my 76 swap.
Thanks in advance
Cut out the metal seperator and get a piece of aluminum and fit it over the left over hole. Then drill a hole for the 240z bolt to go through to hold it down and then seal it up nicely. I can try to take a pic of what I'm talking about if I can remember next time I work on my car.
it was showcars not zfiberglass, the reason he quit is because people would order it and decide they did not want it. talk about alot of overhead at that point.
