Strike my first reply from the record. The 265 "six pack" would be pretty cool. My only concern would be weight. The non six pack cars were still putting down 218bhp stock and im sure they would come to life with the proper cam and other tweaks.

I didn't realize you were in australia. I don't know how the sixes here compared to the ones there. It could be a completely different animal.

Seriously? A slant six? The leaning tower of power? You have to be joking. Even if you could find the ultra rare all aluminum version that was in the Feather Duster you would be lucky to get any respectable amount of hp out of it. You could boost it and put a built 906 behind it but by the time you were done the money you would have invested to get 250hpsome tops you could have done something much better. Im all for being unique but a slant six seems like alot of wasted effort to build something mediocre at best.

That's a n adapter for trailer lights. You probably ran it over unless your car has a trailer hitch.

How thick is the plate? Looks like rather than taking the time to engineer a proper design they just used a thick ass piece of hot rolled flat bar. Id think that 1/8" thick with a few strategically placed bends would not only be stronger but much lighter.

Thanks.everyone for the advice and the job listings. I've polished my resume and made a portfolio of work I've done and sent them out to a few places. I've found a job in the meantime to put some food on the table. I also sold off a few toys and things so I have bills covered for a few weeks. The only project I.have left is my 240 but ill live out of its rat infested shell before I sell it.

So I don't know how ot happened but I loaded up my saved game and I had $1.00 shy of a billion dollars.....pretty much bought every car and have a ton of $$$ left over so if anyone wants a particular car pm me with what you want and your tag. Figure ill share my good fortune.

I've thought about starting my own shop but the way things are going right now.with the economy it doesn't look promising. I more or less ran the gate shop the last three years I worked there and planned on taking it over 100% when the owner retired. The cost of materials, gas and the loss of the customer base sealed the fate of that plan. Its the same reason I got cut from this last job. I was the newest hire but I was also one of the highest paid. We hadn't had any paying work in a month. I would love to move to Colorado, I love it there. It would be awesome to find a.shop that would help me relocate but I doubt that would happen when there is local talent. I would much rather be my own boss. It runs in the family so I know what it takes, generaly, ill have to look into what kind of grants or other funding I could cone up with to start out.

I've seen the ones on cl and have sent my resume to a couple. Im looking in other states where I have friends and family the only thing is I don't really have the funds to pick up and move down the street let alone out of state. Im open to almost anything hands on as long as the work is constant and it pays the bills and feeds my family. Hell, id sweep floors in a machine shop if it got my foot in the door and could learn the trade.

So I guess ill be pushing the z project back even farther. I've had it sitting around for 13 years already so what's another 13, right? If anyone knows of any welding shops in need of a fab / welder in Arizona please pm me. I have 6 years experience doing custom doors, gates and fencing aswell as some custom artwork. I also have about a year in general fab work for a shop in the valley. I am familiar with mig, spool gun, duel shield mig and was learning tig...if that counts for anything. I can run a sheer, iron worker, roller, press break and hand plasma torch, drill press....ect

It sure is much more of a pain in the ass to pass the computer on this one versus forza three. The computer is much more aggressive. I don't know how many times I've been pushed off the track by a late braking car. It gets very frustrating.

Yea, it lame that they remove the front bumper with the install of the chin spoiler. Although when I hit level 30 I was gifted a daytona cobra coupe (coolest car ever). Having a z in the game similar to my own is cool, but I play the game to drive cars id never have a chance to drive. I still get all bonered up driving the 72 skyline.......oh some day ill strike it absurdity rich and have one of my own.....

Getting an abandoned title isn't too hard in az and worst case scenario if a.previous owner wants to claim it you have the right to charge for storage. In az I think the max is 90 bucks a week or something.

Hrm.....that tail light pannel would work nicely on my s30.....narrowed a bit and dodge replaced with datsun.....im a genius.

Isn't the motor mounted transversely(sp?)? If so, id think that would be the real issue. I was reading a thread on a guy swapping a vg30det into a hardbody 4x4. He found that the transfercase would mount up to the front half of the vg trans. That got me thinking about what it would take to use it to build a awd z. The engineering involved is beyond me at the moment, but it would be interesting.

It turned out to be the hot side cable from the battery to the selinoid. It was just dirty.....thanks.for.the tips

My room mate has a 95 mitsubishi galant, 4cyl, auto. When you try to start it, the gear pops forward like it should but the starter doesn't spin. We thought it was the starter itself and replaced it. Now the new one is doing the same thing. My first thoughts is a relay but I don't know where I would be. Any ideas or help would be great or a link to a site or somehing.

Thanks for the link. I didn't realize there were so many variations. I want to get my project going so badly but money and a proper place to do it is putting it on hold. The best thing I can do is educate myself as much as possible.

I was just curious if there were any mjor differences between the sr20det's from japan and the ones in the sentra SER. Im sure the compression in the ser motor is higher than the turbo version but if I was just looking for a core to build I was thinking it might be a little cheaper to pick up.
