  1. We have long winters here in ohio too
  2. will a z31 rack fit? It looks like it bolts in the same way, I don't know how much wider it is though.
  3. You're thinking of the durocco: http://www.durocco.com/
  4. Who said anything about free energy? The car still runs on gasoline. He showed a 7MPG increase when running HHO injection. http://www.hytechapps.com/applications/HHOStest-102103.htm I wonder how much better mileage I could get running straight water injection...
  5. The reliable requirement really hurts the german contingent. 2nd the MR2 suggestion. They are hard to find for cheap, but very nice and easy to make decently fast.
  6. He's driven that over to a couple of our local VW meets (I think he lives in the columbus area). It's pretty sweet, although having to drive with earplugs in has to get old after a while .
  7. you don't need the ECU. Off the top of my head: Pull out the old tranny & driveshaft, swap the pedals, install the clutch master/slave/lines, figure out your wiring for the neutral switch & reverse lights, put on the clutch/pressure plate. You need to change the input shaft bushing as well I believe. Basically everything besides putting the new transmission & driveshaft in.
  8. There is a compass calibration box behind the spare tire. Here's how to calibrate it: http://z31.com/oboard/archives/view.pl?109

  11. I know you can't re-use stretch bolts.
  12. Stop going to zcar.com if that is the sort of info you're getting from them. Everything you need to get your 400ish hp is on jason's (redz31.com) site.
  13. You need a turbo upgrade, IC, fuel upgrade, ecu upgrade, and a clutch. You don't need to touch the engine mechanicals unless something is already broken. Tranny might be an issue, but upgrading to the FS5R30A (87+ turbo) is very easy. http://www.redz31.com/turbofaq/turbo.faq.htm
  14. sometimes it's done to retain the same exhaust housing to eliminate the need for custom o2 elbow & ex mani. At least that's how I plan to play it
  15. "Whoever was driving the Ferrari and a Mercedes came out to Malibu for a little race," Sheriff's Department Sergeant Philip Brooks said. "The other car racing was a (500,000-dollar) SLR Mercedes," he said. http://www.thelocal.se/article.php?ID=3108&date=20060222
  16. The Holden architecture that the car is based on is going out of production in preparation for the company's newly revised ZETA RWD program.
  17. just because there's tread on the tires doesn't mean they don't suck. My audi used to slide in wet corners (and was borderline scary in the snow), new tires fixed me right up.
  18. You're not livin til you've got a CF toilet seat.
  19. Gal/hr or Lbs/hr is normal for turbine operation. You typically don't have an odometer in such a vehicle If you have to ask, you can't afford it
  20. check this bug out: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6561684793740605788&q=ferrari
  21. does the NG civic have a useable trunk yet? The last one I saw (98ish) had the NG tank taking up half the trunk.
