So i implaced the new settings and i found out that wasnt just it. I also fried up Q5. Oh well got it replaced went to the nearest Radio Shack. Did some more digging, wow i have a lot to learn, just hope i done break my car in the process. Newest link ive looked up, that has shown me some new thoughts on what i had to set in and change. http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_Extra_Ignition_Hardware_Manual.htm Scroll up if you are using the 2.2 board with the MSD 6A. I dont know if im helping anyone, i hope i am, Im just posting these stating to the community that i can learn and that i can listen. So Happy Tunning, i'll keep you updated.

27 bought my car last year 2010 when i got back from afganistan. Ive always wanted a project car, and im prone to Nissans. I owned a 84 300zx for a month or tow till i craped out on me wrtie before i went to Iraq so i sold it. When i came back from Iraq i opt for the practical car and always kicked myself for it. While i was in Afganistan i did nothin but search for a new project car in my free time. So i found my car June 27th came back from Afaganistan July 4th and bought her on July 7th 2010 in Portland, OR. My intial plans were to swap in a RB26 then i did more and more research on the L28 and decided to go with that.

here is the formula just in case your comp is a tad bit slow VE = A*RPM² + B*RPM + C

Update i havent gotten her started yet but im currently using said starting map posted by Moby http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/47394-msns-extra024s9-settings-in-jpeg-format/ Ive also looked into the mega manual where there is a Initial VE Map calculator the link is posted here and my HP range meet with a similiar map. http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/vetable.htm If you get the settings right the entire map will be shown. There is a formula and with a little know how and basic algebra you too can figure this out. Happy MEGATunning

Update ive used the wiring diagram posted here http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/69077-msd-ignition-megasquirt-wiring/ and i have also used the setting posted here http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/47394-msns-extra024s9-settings-in-jpeg-format/ I havent gotten her started yet. I made a few mistakes in the settings. 1 FIDLE FUNCTION was set tospark A output. 2 LED17 was set to squirt. If you didnt notice i am going with a MSD ignition system and not the HEI, for spark advance. Thanks for reading, i will post anyother updates.

Also thanks to Matt Cramer from DIYautotune.com that brought this to my attention intitailly.

OK so i just looked at another post. I guess in all the frusration i over looked another post. Im suppose to swith FIDLE function from idle control tp spark a output. Ive seen this a ton of times prior to buying MS and i made a classic mistake. Also LED17 to squirt. Im going to head off to the car tomarow to see if it works.
