  1. Jeffp, Hey long time no talk, The only thing that concerns me is If the T76 will actually fit under the intake manifold, Or would you have to build a turbo header to help out on the placement? Im running the 82 ar housing with the stage 5 wheel, i actually like it, to atleast what ive experienced... Well Good luck Ron 240zxt
  2. any One have any tricks with adjusting the front wheel toe in / toe out. My car was extremely lowered with two possible three blown struts and Looks to be cut factory springs (prev. owner). I ended up changing the suspension today ( what a pain in the) I have Eibach pro kit springs that lowers from factory one inch (Basically raised the car 2") Tokico Illumina's on all four corners, now. Now everything feels funny. Any information would be appreciated Thanks Ron
  3. How do I know what Springs Go on the front? There are model numbers on the springs but no information. I originally got the pro kit so theres like a two stage coil on two and the others are longer and have more of a open coil. Any suggestions on installing them right the first time? p.s. the car is a 73 240z Thanks Ron

  5. They Claim it lowers the car approx. 1" I also was looking at running tokico struts (non Adjustables) Quote ive recieved was 209.00 for the Eibach and 249.00 for four struts from www.shox.com Any recommendations? Or advice? Thanks Ron

Hey All, Well, let start of by saying My Z is not factory/stock or original state, Here is a break down for you, L28-bored to 87mm Running JE Forged units, XS Rings, 9mm Rods, Factory Head, Factory Camshaft, Spearco Intercooler, Turbonetics Turbo, 3" exhaust, Griffen Raditor, HKS BOV, SCE Headgasket,SDSEFI Computer. Ok now here is the problem, During normal Driving the vehicle is fine. Until i get into boost I receive a problem of shoot my lid off my overflow bottle from the rush of water from the raditor, Ive already raised the rate of the pressure cap to 19lbs- still does it- Changed the thermostat- no luck. Im giving up on this and about ready to change back to a factory head gasket, thinking The SCE gasket is the problem under boost, as boost is leaking into the waterjackets. I have no moisture in the cylindars, no rust on the plugs and no whater exiting the exhaust pipe.... Any Ideas? Thanks Ron

  10. How hard is it to change frame rails or fix them? Just noticed cracks/separation across rails One right were the tie rod mounts to (actually above that mount) and back toward the firewall all on the left side.. Until a answer arises ill be in the market for a 72/73 240z rolling chassis... Thanks Ron
  11. Broke a piston, doughtful but anything is possible. Like stated do a compression test before anything, Valve stem seals could be the cause. By any chance at idle are you getting any blow by out of the valve cover hose? also does your car stall at idle if you pull the dip stick out a little? Let us know what you find out. Later Ron240zxt
  12. By any chance is there damage to the oil pan, Possible crank slap against the pan if dented bad enough..Seen this if someone desides to go over parking blocks...

I've been toying with the idea of 1: use my exhaust to draw vacumm out of my crank case through a 1 way valve Why might i do this, well im not running a PCV Valve,Smog pump etc. 2: Next idea was to use a smog pump (YUCK) to creat a vacumm in my crank case.. Down fall to this is ugly smog pump and making new location mounts... What Does a F1 car do for Crank case vacumm? You do know they pressurize there cooling system to a pressure of 40psi? hummm Well got to run Later All Ron
  14. Hello, need some help or advice Ok let me explain what has happened. About Two weeks ago i blew out a headgasket in my Z White Smoke everywere. It really sucked. I resently Changed my head gasket to a 1mm SCE Copper Gasket. Had my new head Checked for straightness everything was cool..Old head was torn up. Refilled Radiator. Car runs smooth First off it was smoking alittle out the tail pipe assumed it was old stuff burning off from headgasket failure. Drove home car ran nice no more smoking. I still havent hooked up my radiator overflow yet. so when i got home my raditor for some reason thrown up all over the place. Refilled the radiator and drove to work today. Raditor once again thrown up....Augh sucks I removed my cap to find crudd floating through out the radiator. Ill flush it out tomorrow. Looked like mud. Im assuming its stuff from when the first head blew. The average temp the car ran at down the freeway was like 156* Thats with out the electric fan on. Question Does the radiator suppose to pressurize (oops bad spelling) or hold pressure in the hoses why the engine is off? My hose is pressurize thats why im asking... Thanks for any help or suggestions on cleaning out the system ... Ron
  15. Ok lets vote. KYB non adjustable or tokico non adjustable. The car will be used as a daily driver & and needs to be able to transfer weight fast to the rear tires during a launch. Most of you are going to say get adjustable, i will if you can help chip in for them. Strapped for cash unfortunally.. KYB $169.00 for all four Tokico $239.00 for all four Thanks Ron

  18. Hello all, Well i need some assistance or information on setting up a reliable timing curve for a lets say 8.9 to 1 compression engine running 20psi of boost. Also any one have a idea what psi the factory RX7 550cc injectors run at? ie is it 32lb with the vacumm port unplugged off the regulator... Thanks for the help. Ron 240zxt
  19. I've actually thought of running the Supra drivetrain in my z car many different times. As for the headgasket problem its not really a problem anymore it turns out that you just have to crank the headbolts down like 15lbs more, and it fixes the blow out problem.... Im toying around with the z31 and the Zm from the toyota so far i think ill lean slightly to the toyota side. And bolt on that small ball bearing t66 turbonetics turbo...

Hello All, Well I finally stuck relays inline to get the correct voltage to the headlights before i did this the voltage read 11.24 volts on the right and 10.03 volts on the left. pretty sad even with high beams on... This is what i did i got two relays one for each headlight. I followed the harness back and intercepted the wiring between the headlights and the fuse block the Right light was Red and Left light wire was Red/Yellow in the same loom. I ended up cutting the wires apart and from the light side it went to relay terminal 87 and the side from the fuse block that sends voltage when headlight switch turns on went to relay terminal 86. Terminal 85 goes to ground and terminal 30 now goes to fusable link at the battery terminal.....We now have 12.4 at the lights with out the car running and they are now white not yellow anymore Now here is the question i assume in need to diode isolate the relay somewere reason being the relays stay generated... Until i click the high beams on or off... Which terminal do i put the diode or resister across? Next steep is to get the inside lights brighter across the dash..... Thanks for the help Ron
  21. Hello All, I have a urethane front airdam on the car right now and was wondering if its possible to add to it by using fiberglass to give the air dam a custom look basically get creative or should i just get a fiberglass unit to start from.... Thanks For the help Ron

  23. Hello, I need to hook up my o2 Sensor there are 4 Wires the colors go GRAY, WHITE, WHITE, BLACK I assume Black is Ground but lost on the other wires and there purpose. Im believing this is a heated o2 Sensor.. Any help or direction would be appreciated... Thanks Ron
