Hello Jt, Im running the Je Pistons and actually really happy with the workmanship of these units I ended up getting mine from Rebello Racing in CA. They had a good turn around.. I ended up going 88mm and moving the pin height to allow my 240z rods to work. So far so go (knock on wood) Well if you need any numbers let me know Later Ron

Well that picture didnt work . so figure ill try to explain whats going on. Im in the process of putting new .190 lash pads in my Datsun, and setting up my camshaft, question i have is this, whats a good place for a wipe pattern, right now its about 0.065" toward the tip and 0.114" toward the pivot point. I know its not centered, just by the measurements. but was wondering if this would work in this vehicle. Thanks for the input Ron

Hello all, I originally made a purchase on new valve train equipment, and now in the processes of assembly. Thats were I need you help, Here the Product that I have. Isky Camshaft Grind # L-480 ( cam lift .327 / valve lift .480 / dur 280* ) Springs part number 7005 (performance spring) Retainers 1624-st ( Steel retainers) Problem that Im running into is. The retainer itself is much deeper over its factory counterpart. What I mean by this is the cup that holds the lash pad is deeper & have a much higher side. I know I have to get larger lashpads for this set up sence the factory .120 disappears inside the retainer, Is this normal. for retainers having a deeper side wall? also were might I find lashpads at a good price? Thanks for the help Ron

Hello, I've posted originally about getting a ss exhaust valve with a larger stem from si valve. It looks like im going to order the Intake valves as well but oversize this time. Question concerns me is that i know the early heads ran a different valve stem hight. What was done to the other valve train parts to accept the longer stem. I would like to get this all done in a p90 head, for my turbo application. The pricing of the valves are 9.97 each so i figure i'll freshen up things while its torn apart. Any help in covering the valve train would be help full Thanks one again Ron 240zxt

I have a question that maybe you can help me with, I noticed that the valve stems on the ones purchased are slightly longer then the factory valve stems, Is there a advantange on running a valve with a longer stem then the shorter ones? Also if my intake valves are shorter, then the exhaust valves would this hinder the performance of the vehicle. thanks Ron

Im running a 60-1 hifi with stage 5 exhaust wheel, does take a little to spool that puppy up, I felt going to a 82ar with stage 5 wheel was a easy alternative to a full t4 combo and still aloud me to run the factory POS manifold.

Next question is with 88mm bore am I stuck with only one brand of gasket?
-
Hello all, Need to get rid of the SCE gasket, Leaks like a old tolet. Figure this to be the problem of my pressure build up in the raditor and the nice white smoke blowing out of exhaust if I free rev it. Question is i have 88mm over bore Forged pistons With factory P90 head,ARP Headstuds What Gasket do you recommend? Looking at running upto 20psi. Planning for the future state that is. Thanks for the replys Ron

Negative, No problems, I actually used a mustang dyno, with a clamp on number one cyl plug wire (simular to timing gun light) it worked fine. No problems even thought I went up to 5500rpm level Later Ron
-
James, Wow, When I dyno my car, i was spinning the wheels as little 3200rpm. It took two guys to sit in the hatch, to distribute the weight over the car. With them in my car picked up another 37hp to the wheels. Must be the cheap tires (225x14" rims) im running. Could you've been doing the same? The Dyno i ran on is a Mustang Dyno dual rollers. later Good luck on friday Ron

In comment to I was under the impression at idle or closed throttle, in gauge mode the TPS sensor, should be reading <0> this way the vehicle doesnt inject extra fuel into to the cyl. I know mine is seating at <0> with no problems. As for setting the sec section. you have to have 1's in 3-4 sections 500-750-1000-1250 Good Luck Ron Try the forum for SDS at www.sdsefi.com
