Great Thanks guys! !M!

It's a FFR Spyder GT with a few modifications . Look here: Spyder GT He's missing a lot of the build photos in that link that Scottie posted. !M!

I tried searching but came up empty. I have a R200 out of a '78 and I misplaced the nuts for the studs on the R200 differential cover. What size and pitch are the nuts? I need to purchase these nuts from a hardware store and don't feel like bringing the differential with me . I think they are 19mm x 1.50 correct? !M!

Anyone interested in a Carbon Fiber Cowl induction hood?
CruxGNZ replied to a topic in Body Kits & Paint
*struggling to push Marcus out of the way*... we need a hood like his! It's something different!...*covers Marcus's mouth* John, can this hood be made? It's so unique and functional. I'll be the first in line to buy a hood with this design. The lighter the better, but it will get painted anyways. !M! -
Well, I don't know what to tell you guys. I have a few pictures to go along with my post above, but apparently, my hardrive says that I have run out of space, eventhough I have 33% freespace left! Norton doesn't find a virus so what the heck is going on? I can do everything else on my computer with no problems, but I can't edit pictures, because my C: drive has run out of space, which is untrue. I'll figure it out and post some pictures soon. !M!

Well, it's been a few months so, I figured an update was in order. Due to family stuff and other projects my Z was put on hold . Here's what has happened since the last update: -Scotties engine x-member installed -Most wiring has been deleted and the Caspers wiring harness is being routed -3.54 LSD (clutch type) installed along with CV's I know there is quite a bit more, but that's the major stuff. Here's what will happen in the coming weeks: - '99+ LS1 Camaro fuel tank will be installed - Gauges will be ordered - Adjustable proportioning valve (APV) will be relocated behind the drivers seat - Mounting plate for the Buick computer and the brain for the gauges will be made, then installed behind thet glove box door After I get the fuel tank installed and the APV moved, then ond ONLY then will the Buick V-6 be installed. Everything keeps getting pushed back, BUT it looks like I will get the engine installed and get the break in miles on it before I have to store the thing. Here's some pictures. I recently got my digital camera back from repair, so I can finally update with pictures! !M!

It's great that John finished it. I still think those BMW tail lights would look pretty cool on a Z (hint, hint, anyone? ) !M!

Oh oh, be sure to check the weather before you go, it's raining down there Oh yeah, could you check your tools in your car, I seem to be missing a 1/2" ratchet . I can't find it anywhere here, maybe you grabbed it by mistake? !M!

Evo, you going to GLD for RSD? Hit me up on my cell, I would like to see you break into the 12's !M!

I have a chat event starting at 7:30pm Central time. I should be there. !M!

That is the same thing that happened to me! I saw that my buddy Rob was online, so I clicked on his user name 240Z-DET on the home page, and I got the same MrClean profile. !M!

I concur !M!

Those flares on the right make the car! Looks almost factory, not just a add on. Thanks for the pictures Ernie! !M!

Lets say Thursday 8 pm central time. I even started a chat room date for everyone (like anyone sees it anyways ) !M!

Here is a picture for comparison for you: !M!

i need a ticket to the Jimmy Eat World show in SF!!
CruxGNZ replied to philiow313's topic in Non Tech Board
Jimmy Eat World is that big over there? You couldn't even give those tickets away over here. Good luck !M! -
I set up a time for people to chat once with the calender feature, but nobody showed up . I take it not many people use the calender feature? By clicking on the "stats" button, Thursdays around 8pm Central time would be ideal for a chat time. Pssst, you might want to change your singnature !M!

Magic Don Juan here, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody that came out. The turnout was pretty decent and the weather was great. The party just stopped a few minutes ago, almost 12am! We decided to to take Garrett's and Evo's Z's up to the HWY (8 mile long crusing spot), and the traffic was below par, but still had some fun. Evo almost got pulled over racing a Eclipse GSX, but the GSX got pulled instead . I'll let him tell the story. Good times Mike S, You are the MAN!!!! Okay, here's what happened... Mike shows up and one of the first sentences out of his mouth is "look what I made", and "I have six of them", yeah, Ron Tyler style differential mounts. I then take him into the kitchen to show him the seven Ron Tyler differential mounts that I'm making. What are the odds Now to top it all off, he says with a smile on his face, "they're yours, they're free". You were the hero to all of us here, although I had to explain what the piece of nicely sculpted metal was that they were holding in thier hands to a few of them. From all of us, THANK YOU MIKE! Oh, by the way Pete P., I think Mike has you beat for the longest labor of love. 13 years is it Mike But you should see the pictures of his car, holy moly! ZZ4 crate engine to boot! Although the Green Bay Packers didn't win today, the day was still great with all of you here. A few guys want to do this again in a month! Well, maybe, but there will definetly be a second one! Rob, we'll rip it up and show these "inline" guys what's up next time! Oh about your differential brace, you can have one of mine, so John, keep yours. One thing I must appoligize for is not being in one place to sit and chat with everyone. I feel bad about that. I met all these new people and never got to know them. That's just one bad thing about being a host. Maybe next time, I'll have it catered so I can just sit down and relax with the rest of you. To those that left early, my cousin Angie's husband came over and he is a VERY good chef (literaly, he's a chef), so he whipped up some awsome burgers as a snack for us, YOU MISSED IT. I was great to have you all here and I have a lot of cleaning to do tommorow, so I'm signing off. Oh, but before I do, who has some pictures??? We need pictures to go with this! !M! A.K.A. Magic Don Juan

It seems your having trouble with this differential stuff like I did when I first started. So... Please go to this link at HowStuffWorks.com Click here This will let you know what parts are what and what they do inside of a differential. Okay, now back to your questions: Here, I went through this a while ago. Look here. FYI, in that thread, I wanted to run different gears than the 3.70's that normally come with the clutch type differential. This is what I bought: -R200 (3.54) from a '78 280Z ($80) -Clutch type carrier from a '87-'89 300ZX ($350? I can't remember) The R200 that we both have has 10mm ring gear bolts and sleeves have to be made to make the clutch type carrier fit the ring gear. This is just what I did. You can also get a R200 out of a later Z that has the 12mm ring gear bolts to make things easier on you. I also upgraded to CV's while I was at it. For your other questions, SEARCH !M!

UH OH! HELP! There's a hole in my oilpan!!!!!
CruxGNZ replied to KraZeeZX's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
If you have to drive it, then take a small piece of metal to cover the hole and JB Weld it to the pan. DO NOT put JB Weld directly onto that hole! You don't want any of that stuff falling into your pan, that's why the small piece of metal. Honestly though, don't drive it untill you get a new pan. Should the JB Weld come loose for some reason while your driving, there is the possibility of the oil coming out and splattering on the ground... the ground which your REAR TIRES will be driving on. !M! -
Pics of my 240z taillight restoration - these came out nice!
CruxGNZ replied to Hugh's topic in Body Kits & Paint
Let us know how the polish holds up over time. A lot of the products I've used for plastic end up dull after the elements have had thier way with it. The lights do look good though! !M! -
COOL! Looks awsome! So, what happened to it? By the way, I love the two tone paint job. !M!
