Not trying to sway you in one direction or another, but when you look at a engine swap in any vehicle, what do you see half the time? People spend the time to clean the engine bay, then spray paint it black. You however, spent the time to paint it body color. Think about that. !M!

If I remember right, there is no molding that has the provision for the molding deleted. A few have cut the rubber pieces (flaps) that hold in the molding very carefully, but yet you can still see where you cut. Many have just "blacked out" thier trim by powder coating or painting it. A few have just left the trim out. Honestly, it's not that noticeable if you leave it out. So, your options are: 1- leave it as is 2- Black out the trim 3- take the trim out !M!

Guy, Don't go over that beautiful paint! This is just my opinion, but when I look at a vehicles engine bay and see scratches or nicks, I see a person that does the work themselves. I also think it gives the vehicle character Don't do it !M!

Wow, is that sharp lookin' 8) About the only thing that looks out of place on that RX-7 is the cheap rear bumper. Even the rear spoiler, although quite large, still looks good. !M!

We actually have a few middle aged guys coming. I was also contacted by a lurker in Milwaukee that wants to stop out and chat with us, how cool is that? 8) You guys will get a kick out of the swap my buddy Rob is doing. His car won't be here, but you'll like it !M!

There is a weigh station about 10 minutes from here, but a few months ago they fenced it in, so now you can't get to it . The nearest weigh station is about 20 minutes from here if you needed to find out the vehicle weight. I'm going to get a picture of the front of the house with a crappy digital camera, just for a visual reference for you guys. I should have the picture up by tommorow evening. !M!

Hey Bill, Did you see the HybridZ BBQ in the announcements? Yeah, there is only a handfull of Z cars around here. Most have rotted away a long time ago. Most people just look , because they don't know what kind of car it is. !M!

Alright! I cant wait to see both of your Z's. Well, I've seen Garrett's before, but not with the new paint. There is quite a few people coming to this. I hope there isn't rain, because I don't know where everyone will go! Sounds like the dessert will be pretty good 8) I know I'm all for different food, just as long as it doesn't give me a crap load of gas. But, then again, it's after dinner entertainment. !M!

A few bucks, nothing much. I was just being nice to the rest of you is all. Heck, I wanted to make a "Ron Tyler" style front differential mount, so I went to buy the metal and got way more than I can use, because that's the only piece the company had. SO, I made seven differential mounts out of the extra. They were all sold before I even finished cutting them out. I just like helping everyone out is all. !M!

Sounds like about half will be coming without thier Z cars. About directions, PM me for my address! Then you can use mapquest or yahoo maps to get directions. I'm just a couple turns off a major highway, so it's hard to get lost. !M!

DEATH OF A LAWN MOWER It's just something about random destruction that makes me happy, kind of like blowing up your G.I. Joe guys with fireworks. !M!

Good luck finding tubing in a small enough length for just ONE set of sleeves Trust me I tried! If you want I can go to the place I got my tubing from here and get some for you, but you will have some leftover. !M!

WOW, awsome work! Those headlight buckets look familiar. Hey, what stops the hood when you flip it up? I really like the idea of painting the unibody underneath the fenders. I've never seen that done before. !M!

For food, bring whatever you want and we'll cook it up here! I'll also have some brats and hamburgers for the few people that forgot to bring something. I'm trying to decide if I should start a fire in the fire pit and use a tripod (because it's more fun) or just fire up the gas grill. I'll buy the beverages. I'm going to get a quarter barrel and a bunch of other alcoholic beverages, so people have a good choice. I'll also have some soda and bottled water on hand for those that would prefer not to drink. Oh, it was mentioned in the "Georgia Hybrid Z Meet" post, and I thought it was a great idea, so bring pictures of your projects! Not just a digital camera with your stuff on it, print the pictures out. !M!

Joe, you can still come! Half the guys coming won't have thier Z cars with them. So it looks like the BBQ is going to be this coming Sunday, the 3rd of October and starts around 12 pm. I'll whip up some kind of map tommorow and post my address here so people can start preparing for the trip here. By the way, is that a smart thing to do, post your address on the internet?
