I think the problem is in what you previously mentioned..."big and cheap." Small and expensive would save your hair from being pulled out, and the pain that goes with it.

First off, you have to remember how you pulled it out in the first place. Then you can put it back in reverse order. A mechanics book for your year should help too.

Cut out some cardboard as a template to make it fit in the empty space. Then use the template to cut some sheet metal to fit in the space.

You need: bolts, a welder, a drill, some electricity, and a lot of time figuring it all out.

You could always use fire! The best way is to use a scraper and a vacuum afterwords.

Even though ebay is cheaper, in some cases, a kit from a reputable dealer would be your best bang for your buck.

I own one! It is my daily driver. I've driven it across the U.S. in 17 different states with less than 150,000 miles on it. Love it!

My car was manufactured March of 1979 and it came with: power windows, power brakes, power mirrors, power steering, ac-including the little fan that blows air on the intake manifold, power antenna, the rear window wiper and defrost, map lights, glove box lights and all the other lights... some 79's did come loaded. Works for me.

Coil overs work really well. Should anyone go astray?
