  1. Look for threads made by Booztd 3. His engine had cams but the head was unported. Sounds like you need a good tune. Brandon
  2. I would probably run a bosch 044 pump instead of the A1000. Much less noise and from what I understand a much less troublsome pump. For injectors you should be looking in the 680-750cc area. As a general rule of thumb you need 1 cc per horsepower for a 6 cylinder engine. Brandon
  3. Bingo! Definitely not something I want to do again.
  4. Here's me after a nasty encounter with some pavement.
  5. Read through this thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=120566&highlight=radiator+rb It has a lot of good information on radiators for RBZs Brandon
  6. The RB swap will add about 200 pounds to the weight of the vehicle over the L series. Brandon
  7. I used the CRS mounts on mine and it leaned just as Joel's does. It is supposed to be that way. If you look at the oil pan you'll see that when the engine is leaned over, the sump is level. Brandon
  8. I have a Z31T transmission that I am trying to unload. PM me if you're interested. Brandon
  9. I definitely did not like the way it felt with the linkage cut down. I would try something like what you have posted above before using the cut down linkage if I had to do it over again. Brandon
  10. Yes, you still have to swap bellhousings.
  11. Joel, that looks just like the 88 Z31 turbo trans I have laying around. This is the trans to have if you can't find an RB25 trans for a good price. You shouldn't have to worry about the shifter location like the Z32 trans. Brandon
  12. Nice! Now crank that boost up! Brandon
  13. Joel, Yes this is the one he swapped out because it was too much turbo for what he wanted. Figured I'd at least throw it out there. Brandon
  14. I've got a brand new Borg Warner S374 for sale. It's the turbo Underground was using on his 240sx before he switched it out. Might have hood clearance issues though as the compressor cover is very large. See the ad here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=132305&highlight=borg+warner Brandon
  15. You will run into issues with the shifter linkage with a Z32 trans in an S30. I had to cut the linkage down to get the shifter to come through the hole in the floor. Brandon
  16. It's all personal preference. If you could get it running on the factory stuff without too much of a hassle you wouldn't have to worry about tuning low load sites such as idle and when you're cruising. Having the factory ECU controlling fuel trims and timing advance can be nice. There is a reason a lot of the Subaru and Evo guys use open source ECU reflash software. Lots of control yet factory like drivability. Brandon
  17. The VQ is definitely a bad ass powerplant. Do you plan on using the pedal assembly from the 350Z or adapting the sensor? If you can get it running on the factory ECU, I can get you a good deal on a UTEC for your car. If you don't know what that is check out on the website. Turboxs.com Brandon
  18. Don't be shy with the boost man. Turn it up! Brandon
  19. Sorry Joel, been really busy lately. Getting ready to move again for the 4th time in the past 12 months. I have made a little more progress although it is all still tacked in place. I'll try and snap some pics this week. Thanks, Brandon
  20. Check the TPS. Make sure it's connected and adjusted properly. Brandon
  21. Did the louvers on the coil cover change direction on their own? Brandon
  22. The part number I have on my receipt from the driveshaft shop for the 300zx yoke is 2-3-12461x Brandon
  23. I have it about half finished. My free time is getting thinner by the day it seems. I hope to finish it up sometime fairly soon. Brandon
  24. I'd really like to see what it would do with a proper tune at 15psi. But, yes I am trying to sell. These times are rough and the toys are always the first to go. Brandon
