  1. Richard thanks very much. Had a look at your site, excellent, car looks great. The half roll cage looks a good design - did you make it or purchase it? Does it meet CAMS regs? Is it Chrome molly? regards Mike
  2. Hi guys, I want to fit a remote oil filter to my RB motor when fitted to my 240Z - has anyone done this and/or does anyone know where I can get one. I used a remote set up and oil cooler on my V8 MGB so want to do similar on the Z - can anyone help? regards Mike
  3. thanks anyway Stony, much appreciated mike
  4. Stony my mate has an R33 & a R#$ GTR - very spoilt eh - you dont happen to have manuals for them do you? regards Mike
  5. Stony thanks you are a champion. The manual downloaded perfectly, easily and in about 2 minutes - fantastic, much appreciated regards Mike
  6. I have just received my halfcut and I need to dismantle it without destroying it! Can anyone send me an electroic version of the R32 GTR manual? The site that is supposed to have this has been down now everytime I try to download it - if someone has done this previously can they send it to me? Appreciate it thanks Mike
  7. Hi Colin, the sump is from Uniparts in WA (08 93519061). I will photograph the engine mounts for you - I havent tried them yet as I havent received the Nissan half cut or the 240Z - both coming from over east, however they look pretty good. regards Mike
  8. I have been offered a 2ndhand RB20 sump & pickup here from a local importer for Aust$120 - very cheap by all accounts. When I pick it up I will photograph it and the modifications we make to the pickup & put on the site. I also recieved a set of engine mounts from Catslemaine Rod Shop in NSW Aust so will also photograph them to compare (they were Aust $165) Mike
  9. not heard of him, but I am in the West (other side) regards Mike
  10. No probs Jamie, I mentioned you but she said it was very unmemorable - she prefers the Australian prowess to the Yankee promises - no offence!! Master almost correct - its bunch of dirt and a giant c....ck just kidding guys
  11. I have found a local speed shop with Autometer and Racetech guages. The racetech are nice and come in dual guages as well - Fuel pressure & oil Temp however are only 2 1/16 inch or 52mm which sounds too small - pity I will search the net for Summit Racing & Spa Guages ta
  12. I have a photo of 2FWD Z's. How do you insert photos into this or attach docs? When I use the insert image here it wants a URL (this is webpage isnt it?) which I dont have . When I copy a photo and try to paste it in here, nothing appears. How do I do it? Mike
  13. thanks all you guys I will give those a go if I can find them on the net regards Mike
  14. Havent been to the US - Las Vegas sounds like the go then. My wife went there a few years ago before we met and she loved it
  15. Also thanks to you 240Z Master & the rest of the crew. I have only just joined, I havent even received my 240Z (under transport from Melbourne 3000miles away), or my GTR halfcut (under transport from Sydney even further distance), and yet I already have heaps of info on brakes, engine mounts, guages, transmission mounts etc. I feel that I am going to be able to get the new motor in the car pretty quick due to the amount of info on this site and the quick response to questions from members. Your website Master is fantastic in its step by step approach. I am now hastling my wife to make me a website so I can do what you have done and add to the source of literature for others. It would be great to meet up with everyone with an RBZ and see all the cars - maybe we should have a rally somewhere in a central location (? Phuket anyone?) or you are all welcome in Australia!!! In the Northern Territory there is no limit in speed - how does that sound!!! regards Mike
  16. why not put the intercooler in front of the support? Theres heaps of room there obviously or are you planning on other goodies there? Are you using an oil cooler as well? Thanks for the info on the brace - presume the Cusco brace is a common brand available from speed shops? (I am in backwater Western Australia)
  17. looks excellent. The towers brace - is that one speciifcally designed for the 240Z (if so where do you get them from) or is it one you have adapted yourself? regards Mike
  18. Hi guys I am getting a bit confused what car we are talking about, excuse my ignorance. Is a Z31 a Datsun 240Z? A Z32 - is that a 300Z? regards Mike
  19. (3) Can anyone help with engine mounts & gearbox mounts - does anyone supply adaptors or not? I can grab you some motor mounts, but if you want a transmission mount, I might be able to supply you one if your car is a 240Z. Thanks 240ZMaster - yes the car I have is a 240Z. I have bought them from the other side of Australia, so the car and a GTR R32 halfcut are being transported currently to Western Australia. When I get them and can check out whether I can cut out the mounts from the GTR and mould into the 240Z or not I may take you up on your offer re the mounts and also the gearbox mounts (I have an R34 DET 5 speed box coming as well.) Th e engine mounts and gearbox mounts you use, is there a photo of them anywhere? regards Mike Thanks 260Z for your message as well
