  1. good eye sight Nigel! Now I can see the hose. Good idea I was wondering how not to put one cooler after another in front of the radiator
  2. Nigel I can only see the radiator and the intercooler and the elect fan?
  3. Fentin can you put in photos that show where the oil cooler sits, in relation to the intercooler and radiator please, or otherwise send to my email address? Looks like you have done a great job so keen to see how you have fitted them all in ta Mike
  4. Jimmy the diff I got came out of a Z31 300Z out of Japan. I think that is probably what yours came from as well. Are you going to use it? I'm going to but I was hoping to have a 4.1 ratio same as a GTR, at 4.375 I am wondering if it is too low?
  5. ----------------- Hi RTZMartini, I just posted about my diff and then found your quote above - I believe I have the same diff as you. Its a long nose clutch type LSD that came out of the first model 300Z I was told (came into Aust as a halfcut) - it has CV's and is a 4.375. Did you find out anything about yours? regards Mike
  6. Hi Stony, have you pulled the engine out yet ie can you take some pics of the sump mods Mike
  7. Hi Stony I havent made the extended pick up for the RB26 yet, but I have had the Z31 sump bolt up ok once I removed the RB26 baffle plates. Are you saying that the Z31 sump has to modified on the pickup side to allow the extended pickup & tube to fit in? Do you have any photos of the sump mod you made & extended pickup? regards Mike Rowe
  8. Hi Paul, are you suggesting I should use the VL Commodore mounts rather than standard 240Z ones with the Castlemaine brackets? regards Mike
  9. Thanks Jon again.
  10. Thanks very much Jon, for the info, appreciate your help regards Mike
  11. I have bought a Z31 diff or so I have been told - can the drive shafts and the calipers/vented discs from this be fitted to my 240Z? I think the car currently has 280Z solid discs on the rear

  13. I have just bought what I have been told now is a Z31 LSD - this is another option for the Z - can anyone verify from the photo that this is in deed an LSD ? It has 35 teeth does that mean it is a 3.5 ratio? Sorry not opened up a diff before

  16. an RB26 transmission is 4wd so you wouldnt use that. One of the guys here has an RB20 gearbox behind an RB26 motor so if you are talking a 3l version of the same motor it should mate up
  17. Apologies my inserted table has stuffed up the thread. I will put the table in my album and see if that works!
  18. Excuse my ignorance I am only new to these things... My car has the original 4 stud wheels & discs on the front On the rear someone has put solid discs, presume from a 280ZX? I have been researching bigger & vented discs for the front & whether to upgrade the rear to vented discs as well. I have from my GTR R32 halfcut, 4 pot calipers and 297mm vented discs on 5 stud hub. I also have I think a Z31 rear vented disc setup & calipers. Can I use the GTR front setup & the Z31 rear setup with 5 studs, or is there complete differences in the hub/stub axle setup? Below are discs I have researched which seem close to the correct size, but what about the stub axle etc - am I better to stay with the 240Z set up and change them to 5 stud or can I bolt on Z31 front & rear stub axles?
