Sure, I'll try it. Can you send the screws and see if you can get that plastic clip out also?

Hi all, just looking to see what an estimate in value is for my Z. Looking for insurance purposes, but also potential to sell to fund an addition on the house. This is in Massachusetts where these are pretty rare in a good condition. I'll highlight the important parts. 1974 260z from CA L28et and T5 from an 83. Engine rebuilt in 2007. MegaSquirt installed with 440cc injectors. 240sx TB Electric fan on 280zx radiator Walbro fuel pump Upgraded and rebuilt turbo. AZ car springs and Tokico Illuminas. Miata seats, new interior carpets, half dash cap. Toyota/300 vented brake setup Rota 16x8 RBs with new rubber Rear disk conversion with Ford parts Body and paint done in summer 2013. I have Black Dragon from and rear chrome bumpers ready to install. Main negative is I haven't had time to really get into a great tune, but it is driveable. Been driven highway and back roads for about 500 miles since engine was done. I'll figure out how to get pictures soon.

Hi all, I am curious to see if anyone has any shop recommendations in MA, or even Northern RI. I have a slight oil leak when I park the car, about a tea spoon drips out between the block and transmission. Did it since I had the engine rebuilt and I do not want to fix it myself, unless it could be an easy fix... Any thoughts? Rear Main seal, or something else? Thank you, Joe

Awesome, thank you everyone. I'll search around for a small 10" or so with keyboard, Win 10, and USB.

When I first installed my Megasquirt in 2008/2009, I had my old Compaq from 2005 and it worked great. Now, it is extremely slow, but more importantly, it is large and heavy. Battery also sucks. I am looking for suggestions for a cheap-ish laptop/tablet/convertible laptop/netbook that will work with whatever programs are needed for tuning and all. Are there any Windows versions, memory, or other software limitations? Is it worth getting one of those touchscreen convertible laptops or no? I haven't done much tuning for a few years, but need to get back at it this spring since the car is done and ready for fun. Thanks all!

Yet another rear drum to disk conversion option!

Thanks for the update. Had to spend some money, so this little extra wait is giving me more time to build up again. -

I think I read every post, but will these work with stock axles? If yes, sign me up with centering rings. -
I might. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Rotas are 16x8 +04 royal hyperblack with polished rim. Tires are Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 225/50/16. Haven't driven it yet, but so far all looks clearanced. -
Hey guys, Been on here for several years and never really contributed many of my progress photos or anything. I got engaged last fall and we wanted to have the car a part of the wedding but it needed a paint job, interior work, and more. So I have been working like crazy over the past 3-4 months in getting it ready, and its almost there! Quick rundown: Bought the car in 2005. Completely stock, hadn't been driven in years. Swapped from Flat Top carbs to SU's, and rebuilt them. Put in Tokico Illuminas, AZ Car springs, Toyota 4x4 front brakes, and new shoes/drum hardware. Drove it around for a while as I decided whether to do 350 v8 or turbo swap. Being 2nd year in college, I decided cheaper and easier would be turbo swap. Bought an 83 l28et drivetrain and started the process with a great friend calpoly-z! Had the engine rebuilt and short blocked, then we put it together and in the car. Ran like crap, had some bad injectors. Decided to go Megasquirt, rebuilt turbo with some upgrades, 440cc injectors, 240sx TB, etc. Got it running pretty good. That was after about 4 years, then moved from CA to VA after graduating. Car sat for about 2 years as I did some small things to radiator/electric fan upgrade. Moved up to Boston, bought a house, got engaged and the craziness for body and interior. Putting in a windshield was not fun, btw. Paint code is 240 Datsun Racing Green. Now for pictures!!

Large Rota center caps?
xxjoeyxxeb replied to xxjoeyxxeb's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
PERFECT! Thank you very much. -
Looking to get front and rear bumpers for my restoration. Doesn't need to be show winning quality, but clean enough for a weekend driver and to show off at meets. Located in MA.

Large Rota center caps?
xxjoeyxxeb replied to xxjoeyxxeb's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I am talking about center caps, but the large ones. They told me they now provide larger ones that look almost double the height. I just wanted to see if anyone has them installed so I can make sure they don't stick out too much. -
Found out from 18racing that they offer larger center caps as a result of many of us not able to fit the normal caps on the fronts. Has anyone tried these out? Im trying to see how they look installed.
