I just moved back to Quincy, MA and am going to register my '74 260Z with l28et swap. Obviously the stock emissions and smog pump are gone, but I have a muffler and no smoke. If I register it normal (not antique) do they do a visual inspection for emissions equipment during the safety inspection? There is no benefit going Antique because either way, the car won't need to be emissions tested, correct? Thanks!

I'm so jealous Alec! I still haven't had time to get my car back on the road, but the ZO6 has been holding me over for a while. Now with the move and buying a house, the ZO6 will have to go, but the Z will finally get some attention soon. Danielle's new GTI will have to hold me over until my next toy.

How good is it driving with the wheel and pedals? I used one about 3 years ago and it felt like crap. I am interested in buying GT5, but hate the joystick, and don't want to buy a wheel thats all loose and not even close to realistic if thats possible.

Either way, you really can't go wrong. My friend does weddings and he uses the big Canons, but he says he likes the Nikons on the cheaper range. Also, go to the stores and play with the settings and the physical feels of the cameras and see which you like better. Also, if you plan on buying lenses, check out prices that you will need to pay in the future, I know the Tokina wide angle 11-16 is about $100 cheaper for a Nikon. I have a Canon XS that my parents got me for Christmas and I love it.

I have a L28 block that is stripped down. Crank is still in it and timing cover and pulley still on. Needs to be honed. FREE, also have the pistons and bunch of other parts. All free. Located in SLO.

Hey guys, When it came time for me to look into new seats, there weren't many good instructions on how to install Miata seats into a Z so I didn't know how easy or hard it would be. Turned out about 2-3 hours of work to get both in and drilling about 8 holes is all it took. I attached, or am trying to attach a doc on my install for anyone else planning or anything. I was told these are 90-94 Miata seats, and my Z is an early 1974 260z. Miata seat install into Z.pdf

Yes, Californian's are terrible. They brake hard for no reason whenever there's a turn.

Don't go inland. There is nothing, besides of course Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Paso Robles is a good place to go for wine, so is SLO. Monterey peninsula and the 17-mile drive is great. Go to Alcatraz while in SF. Walk up and down State St Sanata Barbara and get some lunch and shop. Drive down the 1 from about San Jose to Morro Bay, its amazing. Also, when you get to Westlake area near LA, take the Malibu Canyon road from 101 to the 1. It's a great curvy mountain road to beautiful PCH where you can continue south on that and see real nice homes and stuff. Theres a really nice bakery behind a gas station right near where that Malibu canyon road comes out to the PCH, forget the name now, but I can figure it out later.
