  4. I just flow tested my injectors and only 2 of them had a halfway decent spray pattern, 1 was clogged, and 3 had a small stream. So now have some clean injectors and a different pressure regulator and we will see how the car runs soon, and how the pressure is.
  5. I am having a similar problem. I am getting about 55-60 psi at idle and when giving it gas. The car runs very hard and rough. And it chokes when I give it throttle. I am trying to clean the injectors and see how they flow, then going to try a different fuel pressure regulator and see how that works. Let me know if you find anything.

  8. Hey guys, My car is running crappy and I think it may be the injectors. Its an 83 l28et into a 260z. I was thinking about saving some money and trying to clean the injectors myself, and possibly flow test them too. Here's some articles I've found about it, and I was wondering if anyones done it or can offer any hints.   13. First off, slow down and take it easy. My cousin lost his license when he had a Stang multiple times and has been paying for it for years with cops knowing who he is, and insurance charging a ton. And when he didn't have a license he was limited mobility. Now that you know some consequences... I got a ticket 94 in a 55 and brought my Mom in with me and she attested to how I had been brutally punished, and we also brought a work stub in showing that I only made $75/wk (in Hish School) and they lowered the ticket to that amount. I still got a brutal discussion. In addition to you trying those, dress appropriately, don't get defensive, and keep your cool. They will be hoping you lose it because they will win. I would politely question how the 2 cops could have gotten that speed when there were no radar printouts and both officers at the time had varying opinions on the speed. You don't need a governor, just drive normal!
  14. I hate it when people don't answer my threads. But you can find many opinions on this through searching the internet or the forums. Muriatic acid and a chain is a common way to clean a tank. Make sure to wear a mask. I got mine professionally boiled for $150.
  15. Some people mess with the stock AFM when going to larger injectors but it's just a band aid fix. Other people go to a 87-89 z31 ECU that can be tuned either by Nistune? or JWT. And the smart people spend the money and go Megasquirt.

  18. Been 1 week since my redo and my right eye is 20/15 still which is good. They put a contact in the left eye right after the procedure to help the flap heal I guess and since I'm left eye dominant it was a little wierd but today my left eye was 15/20 with the contact in. They took the contact out but did not retake the measurement, I'm assuming because it'll take a couple of days for the left eye to get normal again?

Hey guys, I am taking a Turbomachinery class this quarter and we have a contest in 10 weeks to design a turbomachine to pull a can of corn across the ground and the fastest machine to do it wins. It is water powered. Some Design criteria: -5 gal water capacity -Water surface is 4' 3" from ground -A string is hooked up to a pulley or whatever that is attached to the wheel powered by the water I think it would be best to have a wide tank at the top to keep the potential energy of the water as high as possible Need to find out how to design the most efficient nozzle producing a ton of thrust and velocity. I think ball bearings holding the shaft is key Press fit, or a set screw to hold wheel and pulley together. Maybe the pully that is pulling the string can taper so it starts winding up easily then increases... Any ideas on turbine wheels, pelton wheels, or other designs? Any brainstorming would be great! I wanna win $100!!!
  20. We got it running, but its running poopy. When we tried pulling the plug wires off some plugs, it didn't always make the car run worse so I might need to buy some plug wires, and maybe get the injectors flow tested.

    Relay

    I have a 74 260z that was carbbed, and I might need 1 or both of the fuel relays that are located at the right passenger kick panel. When you open the passenger door and look near the fuse box, they are the closest relays nearest the door and closest to the floor. Thanks
  22. Thanks guys, I should be able to loon into it further. As of now it is all 1983 Stocke ECU, harness, and Motor. I am still using a 280z with an External Voltage Regulator. The blue/red wire was getting the normal 5V for 5 seconds then turning off the other day when it started and ran fine, but I have no idea how it would switch to 5V then 12 V after 5 seconds over night without touching anything. There are 2 fuel pump relays on the 1974 carbbed 260z body harness and maybe the one we tapped into blew after it was running good..
