Alec and I are planning on using the tools to make something for her. Any ideas? -

Thanks guys, Yes I am keeping in touch with her. She will be giving some more stuff to Habitat for Humanity, so once that stuff is done I am going to help her rearrange and clean up her garage. Also, I told her to bring her student over when my car is running. I am going to take her out to a nice dinner with my girlfriend sometime. -

Yup, I can't wait to get the car on the road so I can clean up the garage and set up shop! I think the first thing we are gonig to make is a shifter knob for my mustang T-5 shifter. -
Hey guys, Well I'll tell you the story of how this happened. I came home from class and my roomate said an older lady stopped by and she said she tutors a 7 yr old boy who really likes cars and saw my 280 and 260 in the garage/driveway. I got in touch with her and agreed to have them over to show them my messy garage. We talked for a while and she ended up telling me about her husband who is not able to stay at home anymore, and that he was a machinist and fabricator and had some tools, and asked if I wanted to take a look. I said " Well I highly doubt I can afford much right now being in college and the middle of an engine build" so she said, "Well my husband was a very giving and kind person and I'm sure he would love to help a Cal Poly student, so I'll just give you them" So I saw sure, I'll check it out.... well to stop boring you guys... here's what I got... for FREE. (and we moved it all in on my birthday) Drill Press Lathe Mill Scroll Saw Sander Router and Drill Bench made for Lathe Inside 1 drawer on Bench Accesories I think thats good for now... Didn't want to waste your time with all the accessories and stuff. But I'm happy. And I also got to put 2 coats of paint on my engine bay, and should have the newly rebuilt turbo motor back soon!

Anouncers said it was such a good game. The game sucked until the last half of the 4th qtr!

I think this might be my new favorite... "I want some Torque!"

Ya, the G35 kid definitely either knew the taping kids, or joking with them. Probably knew them.

My friend has a German Shepherd and Chihuahua mix. It looks 100% just like a Shepherd, but shrunk to like 40 lbs. Sounds weird, but looks normal. But I'm more for the real Shepherd.

We're finally starting to get winter temps again. Losing our 80 degree weather for the past few weeks to get in the high 60's-70's with some rain.

I am working on getting a pait of glasses for the meantime. And also asking if they would have any affect on my eyes negatively.
-
Update! Had my 5 week checkup and they talked about numbers of how far off my eyes are. I beleive they said 75 and 100 OU?? I'm not sure what those mean with the OU, but maybe its .75 and 1.00 is my prescription now? When the Dr heard those numbers he immediately said I want to know who took those refractive (?) measurements and talk with him. So I'm assuming those were taken wrong and someone's going to get a chat. BTW, the Dr who took my measurements was fired last week! The Dr told me to come back in 2 months for another check up and we will have to go back in for a touch up. I'm happy the Dr. will do the check up and says everything will be corrected, but very upset at having to live another 2 months like this. If I sit in the front corner of the classroom, I can't read what is written on the opposite end of the board.

I wrote "I can't look near the sun" So on a sunny clear day, if I am walking with the sun at my back I can see fine. But if I am walking in the direction of the sun, I can't look straight ahead at the on coming crowd of people without squinting my eyes almost completely shut. So normal walking acitvities are blinding when walking in the direction of the sun. And yes I do have sunglasses, but sometimes people forget things..

Hey, I made my 6 week post-op a week earlier, so I go in next Monday and I will have Dr. Limberg to talk with. I found his numbers and it is over 24,000 surgeries. Hopefully an enhancement will fix it all. I haven't taken the time to look for halos or starbursts, but unfortunately I did, and now I can see them when looking directly at lights. The worst is on a sunny day with no sunglasses, I can't look near the sun, it hurts and is blinding.
-
They gave an antibiotic drops that I took for 2 weeks. No steroids. I also noticed I have some halos and starbursts while looking directly at lights.
-
I'll try more drops. The Doctor only told me to use them when needed, or about every 4 hours.
-
My Dr. has a good track record. He was on the team that performed the first lasik surgery. Don't remember the amount of numbers, but he's been doing it for a long time, and has a good reputation around here. I do have a 6 week Post-op coming in 2 weeks, and they will do enhancements up to a year. I still use Tear drops, probably 4-8 times a day depending on how they feel. I am very good about hydrating myself also.
-
Well it has been 4-1/2 weeks and nothing better, might be even worse. I have to sit in the front of my classes in order to be able to clearly read what the teacher is writing. If I am driving somewhere new, I have to drive slow if I'm looking for a street sign, otherwise I'd pass it (assuming of course I don't have a passenger with me). I have a 6 week post-op check up 2 weeks from now, but I'm going to try to get it sometime next week. They have said they can do enhancements, but it makes me weary of how me being such a "perfect" candidate and it didn't work the first time. Well, I guess technically it did 'improve' my vision, but I would still need glasses!

Yes, I liked the movies a lot also. I can't wait to see it again. I love the Barbershop scene when they teach the boy how to talk.

Thanks guys. Both of my roomates download TV shows and movies and play games all the time. I can sometimes hear 1 roomate asking the other when he sits at his computer if he is downloading something because his computer is slow. I know nothing about computers, so I'll have to have one of my other friends come check it out. My computer is 3 yrs old, but I try to keep it up to date, and clean as possible. I use Spybot and Lavasoft Ad-ware... any other suggestions for easy-to-use computer cleanup programs or anything to see if there's anything else to be cleaned up?

When I roll my mouse over the wireless icon it shows the speed. Usually at 54, but sometimes at 11 when they are home, or late night.
-
I have nerdy roomates who download crap all the time and it slows my wireless down. When I start up I have 54 Mbps of speed, but it then goes down to 11 Mbps. Is there any way I can limit the downloads, or just hog it all for me to give them a taste of their own medicine?
-
Thank you, I have been keeping up with the drops and wearing the goggles at night. I wish they told me it could take a while to settle before the surgery so it didn't sound kinda like excuses after the surgery. I have my 6 weeks in Jan so we'll see.
-
It's been a week... still waiting for them to settle out... Was 20/15 the day after.... then 20/20 3 days after... And the candlepins at the end of the bowling alley are now fuzzy after 6 days... Starting to get pissed.
